I got an email from Sherry stating that he was in surgery for 8 hours for an aneurism and they had to go back in last night for another 6 hour surgery. Double up on your prayers. Everytime you click on this thread say a couple of prayers. Hopefully they will have good news for us soon. |

Please say a few prayers for Denny and his family. It has to be tough on them. This is more important than all of our other silliness and more important than the holiday. Let us not forget them while we are gearing up for fun. |

Here is the last update. Denny needs all the prayers we can muster. Thursday 10:00 pm Denny is not responding after his second brain surgery. If after the next 72 hrs. there is no improvement His doctors will speak with Sherry as what course to take. Denny is Not able to have visitors. He is at Southwestern Hospital in Vancouver. ------------------ |

Sherry, I hope for the best and that Denny pulls through. A story I can relate is that my Dad was in CCU after conjestive heart failure and all were advising to sign a DNR. This was a stressful time and I asked one nurse what she would do if it was her Dad. She said she wouldn't do it and I didn't. To the Doctors dismay, he pulled through and beat all expectations of recovery, but finally succumbing to a stroke three years later. I was so lucky to have those 3 years of life with him, and they were the best times we ever had together. I realize your situation is different, but the moral is, dont give up hope, you never know. ------------------ |

I Believe in the power of prayer. Denny and Sherry are dear friends and I encourage you all to keep them in your prayers. My lastest update is that Denny is still in a coma. As a group of loving and caring people that we are lets keep praying for a miracle for Denny's recovery. As a friend, I know that Sherry and the family appreciate all of the prayers and kind words expressed in this forum. Please join with me and light a candle and say a special prayer for Denny and Sherry tonight. It is hard to find the right words. They truly are the nicest and dearest people I know.
