Since I took it to the dealer for the tire sensors, I had little choice in what they did or where they took it. Still waiting....Stopped by the dealer tonight, still no tire. ------------------ This message has been edited by Dave Mills on 08-16-2001 at 05:08 PM |

When I returned home from Virginia today, there was a message on my answering machine that my tire was in. That's the good news. The bad news is that its a used tire and the bead is too torn up to use. Now they tell me that the can not locate a tire for a '99. Does anybody know if that is the case. Are the original equipment really not available? Does anyone know? If they are a available, where can I get one? Goodyear is no help here locally. ------------------ |

Dave, TireRack.com will have the tire at your door within 2 days. Excellent service and even better prices. No way would I settle for a used tire from the dealer. Since you have so few miles on your car a new tire shouldn't pose a problem with matching. I doubt the story about the 99 tires not being available but if it's true, have them buy you 2 tires that are the newer series. This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 08-19-2001 at 05:47 PM |

Larry, called Tire Rack. They don't have one either. Their website says they do, but they don't have any in stock. ------------------ |

Dave, while it's good that Chris has a tire, I'd hold out and see if they will replace BOTH fronts with the later ones as these are avaliable~after all, they screwed them up. Any conflicts here with the old rears? ------------------ |

Yes Al, they did. I don't know where. They didn't clean the Cat up, it's pretty dirty from sitting over there for three weeks. Other than that its fine. ------------------ |

Glad you got your cat back, but man, that's poor service giving your car back dirty . I think I would be making noise if I were you~ time to find an efficient service manager. ------------------ |

Actually, they offered to clean it up before I went to pick it up. I told them not to bother, I was afraid they would break something else. I just wanted to get it out of there. ------------------ |
