So, if this thing is a "go", I plan to stay in Stephens City at the Comfort Inn (Exit 307 on I-81) Friday night and head over to Front Royal Saturday morning. Do we have a count on who all is goung yet? ------------------ |

This thread is titled "Maryland Owners" but I see some interlopers from PA jumping in. Are people from Ohio allowed to attend this event? I don't know if Sandy can get off of work but that doesn't seem to be a problem for me. I always wanted to travel straight across US 50 thru W.Va but usually take 40 instead. Taking 50 would put me right about where Mopar Dave is going to spend the night. I would need to leave here on Friday to make it. Will we know a day or two in advance if it is a go? I would hate to drive that far for a cancellation or a bad rain storm. Anybody else interested in this long weekend, from the Cincy area? Andy, Richard, Ken? We could leave Friday at noon and make it, no problem. It is probably about 400 miles. |

I sure wish I would have requested permission to attend this event before Andy posted that picture. |

Ed: If you would come, does that mean you would actually bring the Cat or do I have to look at that Honda again? ------------------ |

Dave, both vehicles are RED, one is candy apple red, the other is Campbell soup red. Both are V-6's. One has two saddlebags and a trunk, the other has a mini-trunk. At Deadwood (actually Lead) a woman told her husband "I want that one" pointing to the m/c after watching 30 Prowlers drive past her in the 4th of July parade. If it rains, you get wet with either vehicle. One has comfortable seats. Both vehicles put off too much engine heat. DECISIONS, DECISIONS. |

for your information, there is a car show in Bowie sponsored by the American Legion on September 15th and Prowlers are welcome as contestants. There is also a huge car show on Oct 13th at the Severna Park Plaza sponsored by the Multiple Sclerosis Society, again Prowlers welcome as contestants. Anyone interested, email me at larrys@dlease.com, and I'll fax you the particulars. these will not be shows whereby you are resented by the other owners of the old cars because your car is so unique. You will truly be a contestant and be eligible to win just like the 40 Willys or the 56 Ford. Those interested, email me, and I'll fax the particulars to you. Personally, I would like to see different colored Kats in it. |

Because of the location, I hadn't read this thread, but now I'm glad I did. After 14 months of POA existance, the NORTHEASTERN cat owners are really getting motivated to get together and plan an event. I'm truly proud of your group I know a coming together event will bring about new friendships, exchanging ideas, and great times for the future. This is what its ALL about!!! Now for the SOUTHEASTERNERS??? Other than the Florida group owners who seem pretty well attached, the southeastern states are lacking a unity. Dandy Don (KarolinaKat) in N. Carolina tried to organize a cruising event - no interest! Try again people, as the rewards for all of you is out there to obtain. Ed - maybe you can move to S.Carolina and take over the helm? ------------------ |

Dave, do you have FOUR wheels now?? Way to go. lol. We won't know for awhile if we can make it due to Sandy's work schedule and a big inspection to get recertified or something. We will probably be there as she can just work a little harder earlier in the week. It will do her good. |

AlleyCat, I know what you mean! I had been on this site for over a year and was waiting for some "event" other than Texas, Florida, or Calf. to participate in. I thought I would have to move! So...Carisle, and Skyline are just a start. I like this car too much to let it sit at home. I'm hoping to go to Woodward next year! Later ------------------ |

Y@K Rod Sorry it has taken soooooo long to respond. I may have to work the weekend of 9/22 but will be glad to swing by Warrenton to pick you up if I go. I'll send you a message sometime the first week in Sept. to let you know for sure. Having ghost flames painted on the cat the following week so I know the 29th. is out. Send me an email sometime and we'll get together. My email is prowlerman97@aol.com. |

MeanGene, what is the game plan? We are leaving Front Royal about 9-9:30 and heading south on Skyline Drive for how many miles or hours? I am asking because we are trying to figure out what we are going to do after it breaks up. We may drive farther south on the Blue Ridge Pkwy and make a little longer week-end. Thanks. |

What do you mean SC is not doing anything, I have tried, please check my past post. I think you will see a lack of wanting to go at times and also a good showing at Charlotte during Autofair. And yes other cruises were planned. It just takes time. For others in this area information, I will be headed to Daytona for the rod run on the Wed before Thanksgiving, I will stop in Georgia at the Embassy on Wed night and then on to Daytona, All Prowler and whoever are invited to tag along. Please E-mail me and look out for a great time. |

Ed, The game plan is simple - cruise Skyline for the entire length (100 Miles) -or- criuse half and peel off at Rt.33 (West) and connect into Rt. 340 (North) and visit some local flavor, back to Front Royal. Sandy and you are welcome to come back to my house for a cook out. The DC-Baltimore area is great for site-seeing. I hope everyone can get there early and we all can decide what "else" we may want to do afterwards. I'm going to post a "final" reply p.s. Are you bring the "flags" for me? ------------------ |
