Julio, the production manager, from Bob Baker Chrysler in Carlsbad, California (760 438 2200)called me on Friday and left a message that the Chrysler rep had been in town. Since they had another Prowler in the shop they were able to show the rep the problem without having to have me bring my car in to them.

Apparently, they have agreed on a perminate fix and, therefore, they have asked me to return my car to them in the near future for this "modification." The surprise is that whatever they did for the temporary fix solved the problem and I no longer hear a loud cracking noise when driving up or down a driveway.

Julio told me in the message that he wanted to talk to me on Monday so when I talk to him and get the particulars I shall re-post with the results.
