Wow! a lot of good comments and recomendations as to the outcome. Isn't this going a little overboard? Come on folks, this is a forum where we should enjoy the company we choose to communicate with. I was always taught to "turn the other cheek" instead of making an A$$ of myself and the people I share commentary with. It's pretty easy to skip a thread that offends you or is not particularly your style. I don't understand all of the conflicts here, nor the reasons for their exsistence. Hey, there's only 10K of us Kat lovers out here, right? And we all share the love of our Kats. Why can't we just understand that's our connection and we won't always share the same opinions but we should all have respect for everyone on this site. I do. ------------------ |

Ok, I have refrained from comment for as long as possible as I do not wish to perpetuate the obvious. From my standpoint this is the worst thing that could happen. Many of you know me well as the man that developed the plastic gears for the Prowler. These gears, which cost me $.39 to manufacture, sell for $199 and are unconditionally quaranteed for 1.6 miles! While I too have had small run ins with the Fat Man I was counting on him to use my gears in his car so that I could have a race proven product. His endorsement, along with a realistic purchase volume of 6,000 units at an average selling price of $199.00 each would provide me with enough gross margin to pursue my real desire. I have been dreaming of developing a double sided liquid filled plastic piston. Utilization of this new light weight piston in conjunction with my new birainum wrist pins would provide the competitive advantage that would result in an estimated 8.2 second quarter mile! I was counting on Bob to present the product to DC and ask them to incorporate it in all of the new engines on the 2006 - 2010 Prowlers. Bob's insight, in concert with the Fat Man's race proven performance could have made me financially successful. The possibility of both of you leaving the board puts me in the unenviable position of having to seek Gary's endorsement. While on the surface this seems like a viable alternative, please remember that his Prowler is not running right now. He was testing my aluminum spark plugs and blew a piston at 12,340 RPM at 164 MPH on a controlled 1/2 power practice run. His interest in continuing in the program has been dulled by his new found interest in Michelle. I urge each of you to put aside your differences, accept each others apologies and get on with the important assignment of assisting me to attain my business goals. Frankly, I need both of you and this is a more important assignment than worrying about what happened several years ago.

I'm just now am reading all the rhetoric. John Shultz has about said it all and better than I. I'm going to side with Larry Lord, Dan, Jb, JD, AndyR, Keith, GaryC, JohnS, and RichW, not because it is the opinion of the majority, rather it is my belief that Jerry has been quite belligerent with his words for a long time. Before Texas Speed Week, I ENJOYED Jerry's posts, asking questions and giving positive information to others. On March 18th, after the drag racing event inwhich Jerry became pis$ed that he wasn't the King of Speed, he started blasting many of the association who had not picked him previously to be the Texas winner. On March 25, he said he is leaving the POA website for good - short promise. His return to the website has brought little in the way of a constructive attitude or manner in dealing with fellow human beings. I am sad and sorry to express a  and say goodby, for the betterment of the association. To Bob Longstreth - I sincerely wish this crap wouldn't have came to this. I value your friendship and knowledge, and fully understand what you are saying above. I would hope that you would reconsider, but will accept any decision that you personally make. Please feel free to pick up the phone and call me anytime. I truly appreciate the heart felt time and effort you have put into this association of owners. ------------------

I guess I'm in the "so long and good bye" column here for FMITBT. As far as I'm concerned, there is no comparison between Bob L and Fat Man. If Fat Man never posts again, we haven't lost a thing. If RPL never posts again, we have lost a valuable asset. So long and Good bye Fat Man. ------------------ |

The tribe has spoken, your flame has now been extinguished. You must now abide by the rules "you" set forth and challenged. My vote means nothing as you stated you would leave when 3 votes were tallied against you, and there is many more than 3. Good luck on your 11 sec. quest. Hasta la Vista Fats. Having read several of the post Jerry has made, I find few if any of value to me as a Prowler owner. I may not know anything or everything about cars...but I do know Bob has been very helpful on more than one occasion, going as far as calling on a Saturday afternoon to discuss a question I had email him about. Thank you very much Bob for all your help. I hope are paths cross again soon. As for Jerry, From what I have read you tend to be a LONER. I think you bought the wrong car. It was designed as a cruiser not a racer. Cruiser people are friendly, I have not seen many post that are friendly comments. We do not satisfy your needs here. Guess you said it, 3 strikes and you are OUT OF HERE. How many is it now. ------------------ |

Hey Fats, I really have no idea what was said between you and Bob and only have read what all have posted, so let me recap it for you..... 1)Bob says goodbye to the board 2)Fats responds stating he will no longer post and will also leave the board if 3 or more people vote he should leave 3) the voting begins as Fats asked for and challenged 4) Fats gets his wish and is in fact voted to leave and no longer post on this board. 5)Fats reads the posts and does not abide by his own rules and continues to post "Ya'll Finished"? Like I said before, I have no idea what was said between you and Bob. What I do know is that you said you would no longer post if 3 or more board members voted you out. You have read the responces and hopefully you can count, so why are you still posting "Ya'll Finished". In case your reading skills are as poor as your grammer and spelling... YOU HAVE BEEN VOTED OUT! Read this post, suck it up, do not respond with any more of your posts, and click off the POA site. Its that simple, and is only what YOU said you would do. Be a man of honor and abide by the rules you set forth. I do realize you said once before that you would no longer post on this site and that did not last long. Suck it up Jerry, you have been kicked to the curb. JMO Alex ------------------ This message has been edited by Alex on 07-21-2001 at 05:04 PM |

Ok I got to get in on this thing. So here goes. I do not give a rats a@@ what was said to hurt either of their feelings. What I do know is that if FMITBT is so disliked why bother responding. If he wants to post here and someone wants to respond, so be it. I know he said vote me off, and blah blah blah, but this is still America, this is still kind of an expression of freedom of speech(I know its kind of a private message board but constitutional and legal questions aside you all get the point) If FMITBT is like a bad episode of Miami Vice, change the channel, do not read his post and do not respond. He might from time to time have something of value to say. Then again he may not. It seems that he does have the "right" to say it. I know he cant call someone a "bad" name or what ever the rules are of this board. Bottom line, what is the big deal if you see what has become associated with CCCP, KKK, IRS, and any other anachronym that you don't like, FMITBT, just change the channel, Thanks MUCH PEACE OUT |

man... someone has gotten some aluminum on the brain here... RPL... never ever leave somewhere because one person in a group that likes you decides they do not. Jerry... man, what can I say... I don't get your inflammatory attitude at all, but personally, I'll never be around a group where most of the people have decided to dislike me, life is too short. ------------------ |

Bet you all thought I would be jumpin into this thread a lot earlier on, huh ... LOL Well, I have to say that after everything that has been posted, Mr. Chrome has hit the proverbial nail on the head! We thank Mr. Krehel for this forum and for the ability to post our individual thoughts, comments and suggestions without fear of being edited or deleted. However, not everyone likes what everyone posts. So, as Mr. Chrome put it, learn to just walk on by and ignore certain things, but more importantly, think twice before hitting the send key. I dn't care who posts here or doesn't. One thing I have learned for sure, anyone who says they are "leaving for good" has aways come back (I won't name names, but ya'll know who they are) ... I just hope that Bob comes to be one of those folks too ... his participation and input is too great for us to lose. Prowl on everyone ... ------------------ |

Looks like POA folks are about like everyone else out there. From what I have seen in my work for 30 years we're all just human beings and we're all in it together. I have always found most people are mostly good most of the time, and personally I have complete faith in humanity. But all human beings without exception have the ability to be brutal AH's. We all have the choice and the responsibility for everything we do. Everything we have is the result of voluntary cooperation, mainly through open communication, and just as it has been all through history, fighting screws things up for everyone. The opportunity to share our thoughts and information and, of course, to kid each other is great for all of us and way fun. All it takes is always trying to treat each other well and being willing to forgive each other when one of us screws up. As far as what to do when someone gets nasty in a post, Chrome has it right. Just don't respond in any way. If someone keeps trashing others, in not very long they will be talking to themselves.
