Well, I'm glad mine is Purple. Maybe I can buy a candy apple red something. Maybe I'll have to get a candy apple red bike - my daughter said NO to that, because I never learn to ride a bike.
Oh well, now I don't have to wish for a second Prowler!!!!!!!

All of the colors are cool!

Most important thing is to take off the front bumper and paint the rear bumper the body color!

These cars should be bright colors, not some German left over from the 50's.

Hey, everybody.......I didn't pick the color, I just posted pictures!

Sasy, you are correct in stating that lighting makes a difference. But the person who took these took them in early morning overcast conditions and later afternoon sunlight conditions. Mainly to show the difference in color in the different lighting conditions. Just like the orange. What you see under these conditions are certainly going to be different than what you see in staged lighting, and that would be what an owner would be seeing most of the time as they drive it on a daily basis.

I don't think the car you saw was one of DC's, as there was never any pinstriping. Which also means that the color you saw could very well be a custom job and different than this gold.

I dont know what to say. I have a yellow, my favorite. a black, always classy, and the new orange which at first I did not like and now adore. I dont like the red cars at all and the others all seem fine. This color strikes me strange, like were they going for a classy look or a cool driver look? Does any one know if any more limited editions ie Woodwards or Black Ties will be built? I understand some theories on color like the silver for the millenium some one suggested but i just cant get a feel of where this fits. Not really retro rod color but more like a demure retirement color. Appropriate perhaps but not stunning, I will wait for an in person encounter.

Personally I think it would LOOK 200% BETTER if DC would
do a BLACK TIE effect WITH:Gloss Black Top,Gloss Black
Front Fenders,a Gloss Black GRILL,and a BEAUTIFUL GOLD
Pinstripe. WE NEED a PROWLER in CANDY APPLE RED& also A
PROWLER done in A PEARL WHITE. I FEEL that MOST Everyone
would AGREE!!!WHY does DC not LISTEN to US???WE still
NEED a V-8&5spd Manual Transmission+ABS Brakes. Just MY
FEELINGS on the SUBJECT.
WAY KOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Well, as a rookie in these parts, I will quietly add my opinion. I may just trade in Cliff's Dak for the gold, and then paint it Candy Apple Red, maybe even a chrome illusion. But if they started putting out the C.A. Red, I would be begging for one.

Sorry, I refer to our truck as the Dak instead of Dakota, It helps around here when we have a "D" Durango and the Dakota. And besides, If I threaten to give him another black eye, I can get what I want--Just Kidding...

And yes we are a Dodge Chrysler Family!

I also will reserve judgement until seen.

Thanks for posting the pictures CJ. As I told you, the color thing will never end.............

Nyle - you could paint everybody's Prowler that want a certain color, and retire in three or four years?

CJ thanks for posting the new color...
If the Original Prowler was this color I would not have bought one. This is a HOT ROD and should be a HOT ROD COLOR. Apparently that is why present orange and blues are clogging the showroom floors. The demise of the Prowler can be attributed to the DC personal in color selection. Fire the color blind color selector at DC.

I think it might look a lot better with the top down. The black bumpers definitely have to go. They only look decent on a black cat. Why don't they color code the bumpers to match the cars at the factory?? I think the gold is okay looking but not a color that reaches out and grabs you. I think a blue top would look worse. Maybe a white top? I am not artistic and can't visualize so I will wait and see.

Don't forget, everyone, that the car was sitting on grass, which is also going to reflect and cause it to have a green cast to the paint.

In all fairness, the color/design team is, I believe, the same team that has been choosing the colors from the beginning, long before Daimler entered the picture.

I got an e-mail from someone that knew the chap that had the gold one. I think Dr. Ru did the pin stripe. I have to call him later today anyway for another job, and I will ask him. Supposedly there were a few golds done for some DC execs.

CJ, did you hear any news on the final color yet, or should I say package. I heard that (hear say) that they were thinking for the original purple for the final color, with a special interior package in a very limited amount.

I believe the red on the PT will come out on the Prowler. I believe it will be the last color. I think they are saving the best for last. I have what has been called a too orange red color and really like it. The other red on the PT's would be the only way I would change cars.
