Here's the flag caddies. I ordered mine via mail a couple of days before Ed's deal on 5/15. They arrived today. Here's a few pics.
You screw the threaded knob in from under the decklid through the top latch into the metal holder for the flag.
Here's the two poles, flags & mounting assembly. The flag slides over the plastic pole & over the upside down "wishbone". This is what holds the flag onto pole. It is 7/8" of an inch tip to tip of wishbone. So, our new Prowler flags (silk screen or embroderied) will need to slip over this piece.

Twitch, I recvd. an email that my check finally arrived and he will be shipping them within the week. I have to wait until I recv. them to see how I am going to ship them. I will need to get boxes or tubes to mail them and I have no idea what size I need at this point. I will have to find out how much shipping will be, they are pretty light weight, I would imagine. I don't know if the Post Office charges by distance, but I think they do, so that will affect the shipping price. I still think it will only be a couple of bucks. I have you down for a set and will notify everyone once I see what the final cost will be. Hopefully, by next weekend. You want the flag caddies and two poles and 2 Amer. flags, correct? No embroidered Prowler flags, correct? |

Ed, do you have an photo of what an embroidered flag (of any kind) from this supplier looks like? I suffer from a poor imagination and would like to see something before I give you an embroidered flag order. I sent you an email for a pair of caddies, Ed. By the way, plan to invest about $4.00 for mailing the flags via USPS. It's always a little more than you expected. ------------------ |

Ed, just a suggestion. Everything that I have been shipping for the POA members I have done by Post Office Priority mail. They have several different size boxes to use and they are FREE! Just ask for them at your P.O. I ended up getting a several cases of them. If you remember when I shipped out the Black-T stuff last year, I shipped about 60 boxes. Told them I was doing a shipping for my car club. They also arrive within 2-3 days. They use a rate scale similar to UPS, based on weight and destination. Basic rate right now is $3.95 to most places. I'm sure everyone will be more than willing to reimburse you for the postage. Most everyone did on my packages last year. ------------------ |

Ed, flag caddie shipped mine in a 10X15 manilla envelope with lil metal fold down pieces & scotch tape to seal envelope. It was shipped 1st class mail US post office. Stamped 5/21 & received here 5/24. The kit is in a plastic wrapping & there was a couple of pieces of paper (instructions & order forms in the envelope. It arrived OK. laddie... ------------------ |

Paul, I do not have any pictures available, as I do not have a digital camera and don't know how to post pictures, anyway. Tell me what you want and I will make sure it is made correctly. If you do not like it, send it back and I will cheerfully refund your money. That goes for everyone else, also. CJ, Thanks for the compliment. I had nothing to do with finding them, however. It was Stoney from Dayton, OH and was posted by Ken G from West Chester, OH and I took it from there. So it was a team effort, for sure. Laddie, thanks for the info. I know envelopes are much cheaper than boxes for the same weight. I will have to go to a store and check out what is available. Thanks for all the help everyone. |

Just to add a little more confusion to this topic: Doug called me to inform me that someone else ordered flag caddies for their Prowler after reading about it on POA. Doug then decided to go try them out for fit on a Prowler and came to the conclusion that the model that we ordered were not the best ones available for Prowlers. He is sending me one set of both models on Tuesday and then I will let him know which ones I want. I am presuming he knows way more about them than I do, so I am planning on ordering the 35 model, that he suggests. So if anyone else is ordering them on their own, either tell him you want them for a Prowler rather than a Vette or simply order model 35 and not model 5 or 50 or what ever it was that we originally thought we wanted. I will try to keep everyone informed as to what is going on. The model 35 is $ 1 more but he is not going to charge us the extra $1 on the initial shipment but will on any subsequent orders. I have orders for over 30 sets so if you are thinking about getting a set, please order promptly. |

I have been getting one or two orders a day, for the past few days and I am now getting close to the 50 mark. I am going to place another order as soon as I get the first 2 sets and can make the comparison. The first 50 people will save $ 1 over the subsequent orders, if we go with his recommendation (which I feel certain that we will). If you are thinking about ordering, please let me know soon, so that I have enough at both Deadwood and Woodward, plus the orders to mail out. Thanks. |
