He was lukewarm butI don't think he knows what a Prowler looks like, and they had already had most of the Parade firmed up. Plus it was only one car, not a bunch. They are closed on Tue but I will try to make it down there tomorrow and take the Cat if the weather permits.

Talked to the head honcho of the Findlay Mkt. Opening Day Parade. He said they are trying to get away from cars and more into bands, etc. I told him to go look out his back door and then he decided he wants us in the Parade. He will get back to me and let me know if it will just be us as cars, or us carrying the local celebrities. He is thinking Oscar Robertson or Anthony Munoz as Grand Marshall. I told him the car is plastic and they are pretty big guys to be sitting up on the back. He assured me he will call me so let me know who all is interested. He has a meeting Monday with the Reds. I know Andy and Ken are interested. Anyone else?

Ed......with regard to someone that large sitting in the Prowler......

Last year at Dream Cruise, Carol and I drove celebrities in the parade for Pontiac. I ended up with the Mayor of Pontiac in my car. I didn't know who he was when he got in the car but I was guessing a football or basketball player from one of the local teams. He was BIG. If I remember correctly, I believe he told me he was 6'4". I was very nervous about him sitting in my car (you can imagine what Bob was thinking). He took off his shoes and put one foot on the floor of the car and the other on the seat and kind of leaned on the center of the car between the seats. That way, he was able to brace himself. He did not sit on the decklid and we had no problem!!!!

CJ, thanks for the input. So if I get a really large person you will come down and use your cat?? Thanks. I don't want to put a damper on things, but they may only want to use a few cars for celebrities. If they want us to show up just for the sake of the cars, the more the merrier. I will let everyone know as soon as I hear something. I think he was totally sincere when he said he would use (me or Us). I am hoping he says bring on as many as we can muster. Wildcat, the parade starts about 10 AM or 11 AM, I didn't think to ask and can't remember. The weather is usually bad and then great the next day, which is an off day in case they can't get the game in on Opening Day. The Reds used to always be the very first game of the year in tribute to them being the first professional baseball team but the past few years they have been letting other teams play on Sunday evening for TV revenue. Opening Day is a big deal in Cincinnati. Traffic is a mess and it is always a sellout. There will be plenty to do after the parade. We can have lunch, go fro a cruise up the river, or go to the game and then go out afterwards. I don't have tickets to the game and they are hard to get if the weather is nice but real easy to get if it is cold. I hope it works out that they can use all of us and if not, I hope no one gets their feelings hurt. Last year it just didn't pan out. I will talk to Andy tomorrow and between the two of us we should be able to find out more in the near future.

Ed - what is going on here. One day you say there isn't any people to cruise with, and the next day you have six or seven cats ready for a parade!

The interest in the POA website has brought you owners together, so when the snow melts, get out there and have some fun together.

FYI - Ed usually has the people from the parade over to his place afterwards for fillet mignon on the BBQ - Sandy is a great cook. Plenty to drink also, may have to spend the night, as friends don't let friends drive home loaded!

Ed - you didn't tell me about your butcher friend. Could he use a Prowler license plate frame?

CJ, it is Monday April 2nd. Larry, I assure you that I will show them all a great time. Too bad you are out there and not close by to join in the revelry. To think this all started when I raised heck about all the new Maryland members and nobody from Ohio. I have only met a couple of Prowler owners at cruise ins and I don't think they have signed in yet. Where is the Woodward owner that bought it at Kingswood and I met you at Frisch's in July or Aug? How about the yellow that has a trailer and I met you at Fuddrucker's on Winton Rd. The other Yellow that used to go to the cruise in on Fields-Ertel Rd. If you guys are lurking, sign in so we can all get together. Alley Cat I loved your "duck" tape comment. I had the cat out today for a little while.

I'm just happy to see you people signing in instead of lurking......Now, a name with a Prowler, instead of watching who's online and reading Guest #1,2,3,4,5,6,7...........

Ed - wish I could be there, I can smell those fillets on the BBQ. I hear you are using firewood instead of charcoal in the BBQ now? New flavor to meat

Okay, here is the scoop on Opening Day. It is semi-good news. He already decided to use a different convertible to haul Anthony Munoz (NFL Hall of Famer) and local hero. He was afraid he was just too big to fit in the Prowlers. I asked if that meant we were in or out and he said, "well I could use your cars, how many do you have?" I told him 4 to 10. He said we could have four. The first four who responded were Andy, Ken, Richard and myself. Sorry for the disappointment to anyone else who wanted in. However, I think we will be a big hit and possibly be able to use more of us next year. Anyone that doesn't get in this year will have priority next year. If anyone can't make it, let me know ASAP so we can get someone else. We have to display some type of decoration on the car promoting Cincinnati, The Reds or Findlay Mkt. We will be issued passes to get into the parade, next week. The parade starts at 10 AM and lasts about 90 minutes to 2 hours. We have to be there a little earlier but I don't have the final packet, yet. Sorry Wildcat and CJ. Please give me ideas about decorations. Thanks.

Larry, I have no control over the parade or it would be ALL Prowlers. I do have extra Johnny Lightning cars, however. I plan on bringing them to Deadwood for the other people. I may be able to get a few more. Sorry you won't be in the parade, really. I was bummed about only 4 cars. Thanks for the ideas about the decorations.
