I guess supply has definitely caught up with demmand here in Denver. I drove by Lithia Chrysler Plymouth on Wednesday and all the Prowlers were relagated to the outdoors with the mediocrity. Out in snow and ice were two Yellows, Two Oranges, one Silver, one Black, One Black Tie and one '99 Red. A far cry from the velvet barriers in show room warmth two years ago of perhaps a single color selection of a single car. Wow, it was hard to tell the row of frozen Prowlers from the row of frozen generics. You have done it DC..our cars have become ordinary. Bad job. ------------------ |

Just curious, Chromer, why is it DC's fault the dealer parks the cats outside??? And do you suppose he has that many because he might be asking too much?? |

Yes, I think Lithia got a little greedy and missed the market. Now she is going to have to toss in one of her dot.com stock certificates to boot, to get those cars off the lot. Things have changed. Now you sell your old car first, buy your new car second, and take the bus to work in between. |

Nyle - I will not touch the ankle remark, will save that one for Ed! I believe that dealer did price themselves right out of the market. Chromer, what did they have on the showroom floor? Nationally and historically, this is one of the worst car selling weeks of the year - one of the best times to buy. Those outside Prowler snowcats should go real resonable for the next month, I would think. CJ is right, DC has no say as to where the cars are put at the dealership, but you would think a general mgr. would know a dirty, frozen cat isn't appealing to most buyers willing to spend that kind of money. Chromer - glad to see you posting at the POA, as I now remember your posts on the other website were informative. Welcome aboard! ------------------ This message has been edited by ALLEY CAT on 12-23-2000 at 10:14 PM |
