I have read this thread here on the POA, with concern that there is somewhat of a misunderstanding about the PPC hard top give-a-way. This materialized as strictly a PPC raffle to raise money for their organization. The hardtop was donated by TGF at no cost to the PPC. It was originaly organized as a way to raise money for the PPC to buy tents, banners, mailings and to defray other club expenses and Norb very graciously donated a TGF hard top. See this thread on the PPC and read the second post by Joe Rad, and the post further down by Norb Schroll: http://www.prowlerclub.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000937.html Just to set the record straight, from what I have read on the PPC, in a quote by Joe Rad: Now that the holidays are approaching, we would like to give some of the proceeds of the hardtop raffle to a charity...thinking of "Make A Wish Foundation". Please read this thread from the PPC: http://www.prowlerclub.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000988.html I hope this clarifies, that this is not a 100% charitable give-a-way, and it appears that most of the proceeds from this raffle are going to fund PPC related events and other associated expenses. Respectfully, ------------------ |

Mike, I did read that back in October but didn't remember it, since it has been over 2 months. I wish I had recalled all of that before I started this thread and bought a ticket. I don't read that site much and I just tried to make a post and either can't remember my name or password or I am not welcome since I was never a member. It is quite possible I don't have the right password. Hopefully, 50% of the proceeds will go to charity. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 12-22-2000 at 03:12 AM |

Ed, you are right, 50% is a good start but I think 75% would be the way to go, of course off the top. |

Ed - I'm glad we have you here with us at the POA. As your business agent, I have been approached by the PPC with a large contract for your services. Knowing full well that your heart is with the POA, I have turned them down. I know that this action has probably cost each of us another cat to garage, but atleast I can sleep at night. The word is out - Ed M. is NOT for sale, any any price! PS - Ed, hope you win the raffle. ------------------ |

When there was to be a national event at Disney World in Orlando before the POA was conceived, TGF was going to raffle off (1) Prowler hardtop at that event. Since that event was cancelled due to lack of membership enthusiasm, a second event took place over the Thanksgiving holiday and the original agreement was kept to use at this event. I was going to attend that event but had to cancel at the last minute. Not enough tickets were sold at the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona either so it was extended to the end of 2000. I try to help draw attention to any Prowler event from either club with the donation of our products. From my conversations with Joe Rad, the money raised from the raffle will be used to supply needed items to help the Florida Chapter ONLY and the rest will be donated to a charity of there choice. This is not the PPC making money off of TGF. I lend my support to both clubs when asked. Both clubs are always kind to me and I thank everyone for that. If anyone who wishes to learn more about our hardtops or other products we have detailed information and pictures on our web sites at www.tgfautomotive.com and www.metalcrafters.com. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!!!! ------------------ |

Thanks Larry-Any ideas from you guys about what to get? Just got off the phone with JoeRad and I understand the top is really not a big deal to put on and take off. The ragtop goes in the trunk. I thought it had to come off. ------------------ |

Congratulations Butchee but the drawing was in Florida and Chad wants a recount. Wait for the Supreme Court decree before making a final decision. lol. Get a black top and we can all try it out at some event. |

Congrats Al - take the hardtop! I've heard rumors that the underworld boss, SuperDantheGarbagman, had put a hit out(ice pick or razor blade) on your ragtop! Enjoy it! |
