PaulR, Found this on the chrysler.com site under service contracts. Changing Your Contract Q: How do I Upgrade Coverage on my service contract? A: An upgrade is a change to extend or improve the original service contract you purchased. DaimlerChrysler Service Contracts allows our Dealers and Customers the flexibility to make contract changes on new vehicle service contracts during the 3/36 Basic Warranty period. Example: If you have a 5 year 60 thousand mile Added Care plan, and after 2 years of driving you have accumulated 35,000 miles, you have the option of returning to your selling dealer to request an extension or change in your coverage. The dealer will then make the request with DaimlerChrysler Service Contracts, and after your request is processed you will receive your new Service Contract Plan Provision. **Full Amount Paid - If you purchased the Plan after 1 year from the vehicle's Factory Start Date, the full amount paid will be less a $100 non-refundable fee. There's more info at this link if you would like to read it. ------------------ |

I had couple of emails on this subject. So, I went see Bob Cooper this morning. There is a difference in pricing based on the amount of deductible you select. In addition, there has been a $25 Cost increase Nov. 1st for the service adder for Viper & Prowler to base service contract charge. $ 725 for $100 deductible, 50,000 miles, 7 years. $ 930 for $0 deductible, 50,000 miles, 7 years. The Chrysler Mfg contract is transferrable for a $50 fee. Hope this helps. |
