Does anyone have any high resolution photos of the Stainless Steel FULL Roll Pan and Stainless Steel REAR Bumper Removal Panels from TheProwlerstore.com? I tried to look here on the forum but could not find anything relevant.

Also can anyone account for the quality, durability, thickness of these and other parts.

thanks in advance!!!

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

The vendor you are referencing does not have a great reputation among many members here.
Some of their products might be acceptable, but many appear to be outright copies of products others have developed.
The quality of many of their products have been questioned, and their prices are often inflated.

Before making a decision to purchase from this vendor or not, do some further research.
The "Search" feature is a great tool. Also look on the "Home" page here on this site.
On the left side are links to several vendors here that have a very good reputation and sell a variety of items.

The material of the pan is thick. I know this because I cut one to fit around a trailer hitch. I later changed it out to something better. That particular pan has a reputation of looking like an air conditioner duct and that ruined it for me lol. I still have the cut one if you want it.

I can cut a piece off of my furnace duct work and it will look better than that thing. Their chintzy grill on the front will give you UNACCEPTABLE bookends on your Prowler. Why ruin the looks of the car with that thing??

Thanks for the input. Do many people put the rear kit on themselves? Does Gary match up the factory paint? Any tutorials on installation?

Here is a link from a 2008 thread on this site that shows pictures of several different rear belly pans.
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/002954.html

Keep in mind though, that some of these pans are no longer available.

This might give you an idea of what a particular pan looks like installed on a car. You may decide to keep your rear bumpers intact, or do something completely different.

As mentioned earlier, it would be beneficial to learn how the search feature works, and use it. IF you can't find a satisfactory answer....Don't be afraid to ASK Questions. There is a lot of knowledge available and plenty of reference material.

Since you are in Texas, look in the "Events Discussions" section on this site. Look for the "Lonestar Prowler Roundup ---------2020----------" topic.
This is a get together in San Marcos Texas 78666 that is taking place sometime next year. SO far there are close to 50 cars/owners planning to attend. These events often encompass a week with a variety of activities each day to choose from.
If you are a sociable person that enjoys cars and their owners, this is an event worth considering attending, especially since it is close to you.

I bought Gary's pan. Painted it myself with Prowler Red spray cans I had mixed up at a paint shop. My son and I installed it easily while we were installing a trailer hitch I bought from Dick L.

Thank you all for the feedback. It seems to be the general consensus that theprowlerstore.com has a bad reputation and poor quality. Does anyone else have feedback on this (positive or negative)? I was looking at their products initially.

I did see the link to another spot here on the forum on bumper removal. It appears the prowlerproducts.com rear belly pan is the only one still available unless I am wrong. What is the best recommendation for closing up the rear when removing the bumper parts? Are there multiple options? Capping off, belly pans, or other options?

Tom Mills AKA Jefferson Automotive also has a couple rear pans available, with or without the rear bumper.
His company also sells the front bumper turn signal relocation kit and most importantly, High Quality Replacement Window Regulator kits that surpass the factory regulator and at a better price.
Attached are photos of his rear pan, and front turn signal kits installed on my car.

alrtg thanks for the link...that is an absolutely stunning rear end...I am truly impressed.

Which one is better quality out of the two below?

jeffersonautocollision.com or the prowlerproducts.com version.

And which do you think is better in appearance?

My Prowler had one on it when I purchased it. That is the 1st thing I had removed. I did not offer to sell it because I would be ashamed to take money for it. It is cheap and even with only about 1000 miles on was be up and the metal was creased in a couple of places.

I can't say if one would be better than the other but have to believe both vendors make quality parts.

As for which looks better, that is up to each individual to decide for themselves.

Marty, wow the quality was that poor and creases started to occur in the stainless steel? That is incredibly cheap.

And I am really impressed with your round headlight modification on your Prowler? Do you have high resolution photos of it? And your current rear end belly pan? How did you do the round headlights? How did you remove and cover the existing holes? I tried to do a search here on the forum for round headlights and did not see much of anything.

Atrtg, how hard was the install on your belly pan? Any modifications had to be done? Is it a straight bolt on application. I did see the prowlerproducts.com belly pan required exhaust movement. I am leaning towards yours for appearance.

I did see it is plastic versus fiberglass on the other. How precise is the plastic work on it? Any flaws? Or is the belly pan pretty much perfect like plastic motorcycle fairings? Is it thick well made plastic or fragile?

thanks a million,
Eric

The Mills rear pans are a molded plastic panel.
I don't know how close they are to being perfect when they arrive at your door since the one on my car had been installed by, or for the original owner in Texas.
I suspect that the Mills panels are essentially scuff and shoot, simply because Tom is a Prowler owner and enthusiast that pays attention to details.

The creases were partially due to a bad install and possibly backing slowly into something like a parking curb perhaps but the point was that like others, I believe this piece is cheaply made. TO me it looks better in pictures than it did in person. When I removed it there was no way I would sell it to anyone. On the round headlights, this is the 2nd Prowler that I have owned with round headlights. The lights are 2 headlights for a Harley motorcycle found online....realatively inexpensive. On my first Prowler I had custom pieces fabricated to replace the factory headlights. Any decent custom motorcycle or hot rod shop should be able to fabricate them and also the braces to support to the headlights. On my current car the previous owner bought the aftermarket pieces but I do not know where. I hated the lights he had on it and replaced them and had to reinforce the brackets he had fabrciated to support the larger round headlights.

Thank you for taking the time to let me know the process for the round headlights. The classic look of it is beyond stunning. I was hoping there was a more plug and play option for this. I have a seen a few more that have round headlights. Does anyone know of a company that makes the replacement panel for the headlight hole or does it have to be custom made? You would think more Prowler owners would want this round headlight option.
