Robin How dare you mention TPS. You, my friend, have stepped over the line and now you will be tarred and feathered. |

Guenter, I recently bought the chrome shifter Alprowl offers. Simple install and couldn't be happier! Many complements on quality and craftsmanship. This message has been edited by Stogie on 07-20-2016 at 05:55 PM |

If you like inferior products and triple or quadruple the price, that is the place to shop. |

quote: Some have been railing on TPS for as long as I've been here. I have never had a problem with them regarding returns or making good on their products. I can tell you that most of the newer owners on this site have purchased their hardtops from them as no one else makes them. I bought one 5 years ago for 2900. and the hardtop is great. I wanted the newer style back window and they sent it to me free of charge. I guess it comes down to how you deal w/people. I'll probably get blasted from a few who have a vendetta against them but I no longer care. I'd rather them in business to help owners out with parts no one else carries. If certain members who don't like them have a problem just don't buy there but the constant disparaging and trying to steer members away is wrong and gets old. |

The guy asked if it was a good place to deal with. They bought a trailer hitch off of a member here, on eBay for $ 950 to run up the price for later customers to compare prices. THEN they returned the hitch to the POA member and said it was "used and abused". He got stuck with the eBay fees and shipping both ways. It was simply a way to promote their high prices and the POA member got screwed. They sent 19 center caps to Dick Linnemann to repair and apparently took one apart to get the dimensions of the ring and o-ring so they could have them reproduced. They sell center caps for $ 150. Dick repairs them for $ 25 and sells them for $ 85. They stole the design of the front bumper replacement kits that Tom Mills designed. They were selling door edge guard for $ 100 a roll. You can buy it for about $12 a roll at almost any auto parts store. They stole the design for the seat risers that were originally made by Rick Buehler. There are a lot more examples of their deceptive practices. YOU can make your own choice if you want to support someone like that. If someone asks for an opinion, some of us feel it is the right thing to do to warn them. Again, some might not agree with that. Too bad. Previously posted. (NOT by me) Just an FYI when you are comparing the PS tops and the TGF tops. This is what I have observed, feel free to correct me if I am wrong. PS tops are TGF copies and are made with fiberglass. TGF tops are made with fiberglass that appears to be SMC, (sheet molded compound) Quality. PS door glass weather seals are glued in like the early TGF's that fell off. All but the few early TGF tops have the door glass weather seals held in with retailer rails. PS tops rear window is plastic and not installed TGF tops have glass rear windows with frets around the outer area to hide the retaining sealant, TGF logo on the lower center of the glass and it is installed in the top. By the way, Menard's has some chrome nuts, bolts in metric sizes now. If you have your front end chromed or want to dress up the fender brackets, etc. |

I guess your EGO wasn't stroked enough in Indiana. Bit of an over reaction don't ya think. I suppose I'm your target now. Al of your arguments have been made over and over and over I knew them all by heart before you made them again. I suggest you file a law suit with all this proof you have, you're sure to win. How dare you tell everyone that what they've purchased is inferior. You are dead wrong on your PS top comparison. I've always defended you on this site but my ass kissin days are over. Contact you? Fat chance as I need no lectures from you. You don't like that I think the Prowler Store has a place in the Prowler community too damn bad as I don't really care. Hey I guessed your numbers quiz which turned out to be the top of a shifter on the 1st response and no comment from you. Sorry next time I'll let one of your buds get it 1st. Your constant digs at the Prowler Store and Bill Gill are getting old and in fact just plain nasty. |

Again I thought it was the unwritten rule that unless you have something nice or helpful to the sale to add you stay out of people's classified ads eg. Bill Gill. This message has been edited by silverkat on 07-25-2016 at 04:07 PM |

Who you kidding nowhere do you say it was another's opinion. Read your post you'll see. There are countless examples where you slander TPS and no one asked you. Many know that. Seems I recently told someone where they might get shimmers and as usual you post they're not quality and too expensive. Seems you have a huge problem with TPS or anyone who dares mention them. TARGETTING in my opinion. I've showed you tremendous respect over the years here and you won't even ID who your talking with in these back and forths. Do you speak for everyone or just yourself? You asked me that question a while back of me on another thread so I figured I'd return the favor. |

Come on chaps. Please, if someone asks an opinion on something, the clue is in the answer. Personally, I've never looked at the Prowlerstore for anything, so I'm in no position to comment on their products or indeed services. Business is busines. Everybody copies someone's idea, that the way humans are. I've had people in my industry copy my company logo, right down to background colour, font style and even sizing. I saw red initially, even though copying is a form of flattery....allegedly. But a swift move on my part saw that change. I've had numerous folk repair carbon as I repair it. It's just life and that's that. It's just the world we live in unfortunately. I feel in this instance it's a shame we have angry comments. Opinions have been asked, so let folk speak. |

quote: Well stated Dave Haggas,,, When I first purchased my Prowler I purchased some items from the PS. Before I did though,,, I made sure items were not made by POA members or sponsors. If no one else makes a item that the PS has what other choice does one have. Whether you like the PS or not we should all be happy that there is a place to go to get Prowler items. Life is about choices,,, it is up to each individual to make there own choice with facts at hand. I greatly do appriciate all members and sponsors that make items for our Prowlers. LD |
