Its the older generation 1 hardtop. They don't have the shipping crate for it, so by the time you pay for crating and shipping you would be better off buying a brand new one from Norb for not much more and its new!!!. Toys |

Got it. Thanks again. I'll call Monday. All I need to know then is est. of freight cost on top of the $2960. I don't see that it makes any difference to me about the gen. 1 or gen 2. |

The freight is probably about $ 300. It depends on where you are located. If you were to buy the red one on eBay and have it painted, plus the shipping, it would cost more than a new one probably. |

http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/012223.html I believe the Gen 1 tops also had an issue with the seals and changes were made for the Gen 2. Gen 1 are only available used these days. The above link revises your priceing info. Again, shipping probably varies per your local, but about $250 is a pretty good idea. (Sorry Ed, I think $300 is a little high.) |

Thanks everyone for providing the info you have. Tom, Idive is correct with the main difference between the Gen 1 & Gen 2 hardtops is the way we installed the side window seals. The Gen 1's we glued in the seals which did have some issues with fitting correctly against the door glass. We spent 8 months re-engineering the ahrdtop to allow us to manufacture the correct seal retainers to hold the seals in the correct position to fit the door glass. These seal retainers we manufacture are also adjustable so the seals if necessary can be moved around for a better fit. Our price increase for 2005 has brought the price of the hardtop to $3108.00 plus shipping. On average, the shipping costs are as follows: West coast states: $140.00 ------------------ This message has been edited by Norb @ TGF on 02-21-2005 at 02:53 PM |

Of coarse, but don't forget to add on the small fee for changing continents? Also, when the truck gets to the Atlantic coast, it needs to change to paddle tires for the trip accross the pond. |

O.K., I will talk with "Terminator" Arnie, if he can bring me the TGF hardtop, when he came to his old home in Austria. Norb, can you PM me the approximately shippingcosts to good old Europe? |

Austrian Prowler, I prefer not to give a generic quote. The costs have many variables for Europe. If you can PM me with you address, I'll get the pricing for door to door freight and door to port freight within 24 hours. I can also break it down by air or by sea. |
