Just have a quick question about the rear end gears. I know everyone says that daily driving will be a blast but i want to know what strip racing will be like with a stock motor. Usually when you go to a lower gear in a race car you can go faster in the 1/4 mile. My car presently runs a 14.49 with just an Amsoil drop in air filter. Will these gears make my car faster in the quarter mile or will they bog me down some b/c the car will shift into overdrive? Anyone have any actual time slips?

Hey now Jason, anyting that lowers your 60' time will produce a faster 1/4 mile time...........so the gears will surely do that. You will run out of 3rd before the traps though but your times would be faster, hope this helps...I will look for two time slips, one with the prowler pro gears and one without..........of course, you know my car is s/c and N20 but the results are the same as if it was stock. In other post, I reported that I last ran with stock gears, the 50hp shot yealed a time of 12.5. Before this, with the gears and a 50hp shot, I ran a 12.2 so there is a .3 difference right there..............I'll be going back to the track this Fri with the PP Gears so we will see if it repeats...........but I do now have 12 more HP than my last run with the gears...............

Hey Jason as I posted this morning, I see that Prowler Pro has lowered the price to $1450.00 now... Maybe its time to put them. I did and it is a whole different car, now burns in first AND second. As Jerry says it dropped my 60' time and thereby got me out of the 13's into the 12's. Well worth the money.. I consider it the best performance item I have done.
