While watching an episode of Ultimate Factories this evening about the Audi R8 plant I got an idea that I thought I might share.

Since the Audi R8 has an Alcola aluminum frame and body there is a chance that an Audi body shop may have the ability to repair and properly paint Prowlers.
I know many dealer body shops will work on most cars so this would not be an out of line idea.

The program was great and was shown on the "National Geographic Channel" (really)

the r8 and a8 have all aluminum bodys.for aluminum repairs
you should be able to get your car repaired also at most major dealer bodyshops.many american manufacturers these days use aluminum panels and there bodyshops must be able to repair them.the first question you want to ask is do they have a tech who is i-car certified to repair aluminum.if not leave.if there techs are i-car certified they must have taken the aluminum course.the collision advisor who you will deal with, must also be i-car certified if not leave.im i-car certified in all phases of auto body repair, inc aluminum.if the advisor heehaws and isnt certfied leave the shop and find another one.all advisors and techs should be certifed so the car is fixed correctly.there are certain steps that must be taken to repair aluminum, and if somebody tells you oh i can repair
aluminum,but isnt certified,run.

Catfish, thanks for the additional input.
I will try to remember that in the event I ever need paint and body work (on the car)
