How come the 99 kit doesn't come with headers like the 00 & 01 kit? Can you still put headers on with the 99 kit? |

I understand the 99's have a much better flowing stock header then later models... perhaps Paxton thought theirs would be a waist of extra $ for the 99's? ------------------ |

Supervette. The Paxton system was designed for a 99 model Prowler. The Prowler manifold was changed (to an H type design) in the 2000 model year which caused Paxton to change the design of the system (adding headers) to accomodate the LH type manifold. Don't know answer to your ques whether the Paxton headers will fit on 99 model year... ------------------ |

Laddie's right on the money again. When DC changed the manifolds in 2000, they interferred with the Paxton SC. Paxton developed headers to correct the problem. (Or you could also install a 1999 manifold) Also the Paxton Headers DO fit on the 1999 Prowlers. The connection to the cat is a little tight. |
