Hey guys! As the thread asks, what the widest rear tire you can -->fit<-- on a Prowler. As per what I see, the widest close equivalent diameter size are
Not sure if any of these tire sizes exit let alone if they fit.

Your diameter limitation is just over 30 inches as the tires will hit the framerail in front if the rear tires as you crest hills and the suspension falling extends. |

The 10" rims look perfect with 295 tires. As you go wider on the 10" rims they will start to look like balloons. The sidewall will bow inwards from tire to rim. There seems no point. Unless you reduce the profile below a 40% ratio, the wheel will increase in diameter too. The closer you get to a rubber band tire, the harsher the ride. The back end of the Prowler is the most balanced look in town so not sure why or what you are after? Some guys are up to 22" and 24" rims but have had to change linkages and rim offset to make it work. And, I bet, ride compliance must be harsh. And, if diameter changes upwards, speedo readings will be inaccurate. You'll under-read on both odo and speed. This message has been edited by ZuluProwler on 10-28-2020 at 05:15 PM |

Thank you for you input ZULUPOWER Looks to me like I will have to consider widening the stock rims to 11,12,13" depending on how; -Wide the suspension will let me go |

I want to order 315 35 20 Nitto street sticks in the worst way. 11.6 wide 295. 12.4 on the 315. .8 difference spilt in half is .4 each side. Let's round up and call it .5 but I have a feeling the slick and the little lower height will work might look sick I just don't want to spend all that $$$ and be screwed |

Going way out of the box here. Def gonna hang out but I think it's gonna work. 20 x 15 rear with 29-18/20 Mickey Thompson's out back. 18 x 8 up front with 26-8/18. Went 4.5 backspacing on the front to widen her out an inch on each side up front. 5 weeks out for the wheels. 2021 cars gonna be waaaaaay different. 2020 is getting its last licks on me. 18" wide rear tires GONE until who know when. Ordered 15" wide hopefully get the look I am after. The guy I ordered my lift from was a scammer!! Had to get my bank involved and got a refund. So we'll see hopefully 29x15 will look good. Supposed to be here tomorrow, wheels still being made, pic's of her sneakers tomorrow!! |
