Geri, good luck with your search. I have owned 5 Prowlers since 1999. I currently own three and one of them is a '97. I like the '97. No problem with it whatsoever, including performance. Don't shy away from buying one just because it has an iron engine. It has it advantages. The convertible top is actually a nicer one. If the timing belt breaks, you won't crush all of the valves. It is just as nice as the newer ones but it doesn't have chrome wheels, which might be another plus, in the long run. It also doesn't have the gadgets in the rear view mirror. It is a very limited number and on and on. |

The prices are low right now. I paid 13K for the silver, and there were two others in the Dallas area at 18k |
