Hello, I´m searching for a used Differential Gear Set, to increase the performance of my prowler. It should be the Set, which "The Prowler Store" offers or a similar, which is working properly. I`would be very thanksful for your help. All the best, Geri |

Hello guys, what´s up? Does nobody use this part? That could be the answer, why no used part is on the market. Is that part not used that much? Is it not senseful? Or is it too expensive for the benefit? The ProwlerStore-price of 1.500.-- USD, I have to double to get it to Europe. For reviews of performance, I would be grateful. Many thanks, Geri |

When I bought my Prowler a decade ago, it already had a set of gears installed and although I would prefer not to have them, I am not going through the effort to reinstall the original gears (that came with the car). They are reportedly a 10% reduction in gearing, Even though I have driven a couple other Prowlers, I have not driven any of them enough to make a worthwhile comparison. What I have noticed though, is that I get about 20 MPG around town and 18 MPG at highway speeds (above 60 MPH). Unless you really want or feel you need to get every last ounce of performance out of your Prowler, I would suggest leaving the stock gears in it and enjoy the car.JMO |

I have been told with gears it's like driving in 3rd gear with the auto stick, louder with higher rpm. I have 2 prowlers, I use the 01 for all my trips and did not want them in that car due to the noise from higher rpm's and lower mpg. Tank and distance is small already. I bought a set to put in 99, but have never got around to doing it yet. |

Installed my !st set of gears in 2003 Best mod & performance bang for the buck I've done. Having owned 4 Prowlers (still own 3 Prowlers) 2 Prowlers have gears in them. The Prowler without gears is just a fun prowler to drive it gets as many looks as my other prowlers,(not a bad thing). But my 2 prowlers with the gears in them are just another beast and a blast to drive all around performance wise. Installed gears myself on the ground in less than 1-1/2 On long trips with Borla exhaust you may experience a harmonic exhaust drone with top down no different than a motorcycle with loud pipes, with stock exhaust very little to no difference. but i have hardtops on both cars and not an issue. Slight mileage fuel drop is really not worth mentioning And well worth the extra penny or so per mile . Love my gears toys |
