I would like to get something going out here this year. how many people would come out here and what is a good time. there is a street corner down here that we can get service work done for $65.00 an hour after 11:30pm  . but really just give me dates that you could come here and i will figure something out.

Fixumm this is long overdue but wouldn't touring up in Wisconsin be a lot more fun....say Lake Geneva which is very accessible for you Chicago based people? Good restaurants, nice views, better parking, etc. We have several Wisconsin-based people who should also consider this proposal. ------------------ |

Hey - we just crusied Lake Geneva last Saturday with Bob & Colleen Hacker. Pretty country!! Like you said, it is easy access to northern Chicago suburbs. fixumm - this might be better than than the South Chicago city cruise you might be planning. I understand, you may get more business for your shop down there, but having car parts removed while we are driving wouldn't be cool! ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Paul, Come on better "parking"??? We live just 14 miles from WI and we go up there quite often, the parking is just as bad as "Chicago". Fixumm lives in Huntley and I don't think he plans on going into the city, I may be wrong. Last Sat Marty & Rebecca and Colleen & I where up there in Lake Geneva looking for you but we only saw a silver prowler. Sept 2nd is labor day how does that weekend sound. No way would i go to chicago for this. Wis sounds good for this event. Fixum & Bob. I saw this on the other site & looks like their are couple other owners around Chicago.. This event might work for yall too... Contact Gary Hardy - he posted this about Rt 66 Raceway... "They are sponsering cruise nights on tuesday's. July 2nd is a night for the Prowler. Check in is at 4. Cars will be on display. Fixumm - I'll always try to make an event you arrange. Let me throw this out for the heck of it - I mentioned it to my Buick club and haven't gotten much of a response. There is going to take place from September 27-29 the 1st Annual International Route 66 Mother Road Festival in Springfield, Illinois. Hundreds of cars, motorcycles, celebrities, cookoffs, etc. are going to be there. We will have to reserve hotel rooms now! Check it out at: http://route66fest.com/ This is probably more involved than you were thinking, but it could be a lot of fun and we could draw Kat's from Indy and St. Louis as well if we wanted. Keep in mind the Beloit Autorama. Sunday Sept 15th from 8am til 4pm at Preservation Park on Hwy 51 along the Rock River in Beloit, WI. Our vette group cruises up, and last year I was joined by a fellow Prowler buddy that hangs out with us on Fridays. fixumm, you coulod coordinate Prowler's meeting at your place and then come to Elk Grove to hook up with us here, or we stop at the McDonalds Oasis over 90 in Belevdere for a quickie breakfast around 7 - 7:15am. We carry Motorola Talk-a-Bouts and are tuned to Big channel 10, little channel 1. For info, call815-624-2071, Gordy or Dolly. This could be a good WI, IL get-together (CJ, MI people too of course - you and Bob welcome to stay here if need be). Ya'll think about it OK? |
