If it growls only when you turn off the engine, it might be the bearing in the clutch pulley on your alternator???

The noise I get is the air being sucked in thru the air intake by the passenger door. Never sounded like a cat.

What does a cat sound like? The sound you are wanting back?

I have owned 5 Prowlers over the past 20 years and never heard the cat growl. One I bought new, two had VERY low miles and two had low miles.
The only growl I heard was when the alternator was going bad in the Orange one.
