If it growls only when you turn off the engine, it might be the bearing in the clutch pulley on your alternator??? |

The noise I get is the air being sucked in thru the air intake by the passenger door. Never sounded like a cat. What does a cat sound like? The sound you are wanting back? |

I have owned 5 Prowlers over the past 20 years and never heard the cat growl. One I bought new, two had VERY low miles and two had low miles. The only growl I heard was when the alternator was going bad in the Orange one. |

Don I see 2 options find your old Alernator. OR Record a sound you like from this youtube clip and have it set up to play when you start the car and shut it off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHZm52nvBB4 |
