I finally bought the parts needed to do the TSB on slow gas filling on the 99-00 model. I'd like to find out if anyone, who did it yourself, needed any special tool or tools to complete the job before I tear it apart. TIA I'll be taking pictures of the process incase someone else does it themselves also. ------------------ |

Fred, what parts are involved? I thought they just replaced the rubber filler hose near the top, but I never checked into it since it was done under warranty. Hopefully it will not be too technical. Good luck. |

Ed, your correct but I haven't look at it yet and I thought I'd check now and not find out later that one tool I don't have is needed. The parts are a new "neck" and the filler hose that connects it to the tank. I'm thinking it only may take a screw driver but I'd like to be sure. ------------------ |

Fred, I don't know the answer. I was still under warranty and they fixed it (about 95 % or so). I still had a problem once in awhile. |

Fred: I think the special tool you're thinking about was for the gasket on the top of the tank, but I could be wrong. T This message has been edited by TFischer on 03-05-2007 at 12:47 PM |

Excellent instructions Fred, I'm "Saving" them to my Prowler How to file. I've had the kit for a year and never got around to replacing the parts, YET. Guess I'll call Alley Cat and see if he can come over to help me remove my rear wheels....lol Thanks, Buddy. |

By the way, if you have the BIG Prowler Shop Manual this is all laid out in Section 14, pages 20 - 21. ------------------ |
