My 99 Prowler is currently in the shop tying up a bay.....one of the aftermarket heater core hoses from the Australian company that RPL got the hoses from is not correct. The OEM heater core hose is 5/8" on one end and 3/4" on the other. The aftermarket Australian heater core hose is 3/4" on both ends, so it will not connect correctly....to loose! These hoses are not available at the Chrysler dealership. If you have a spare (or know of a work around plan) I sure would appreciate the chance to purchase it! Oh, the heater core hose in question is not shown in the online parts manual. It is, and I quote, "A Non Illustrated Part".

Thanks,
Lou

Both heater core hoses should be available at the Dealership. The return line is 4592105, supply line is 4815542. Both show as available according to Chrysler...

Rock Auto; any help?

It might prove too restrictive, but has your mechanic talked to you about a 3/4" to 5/8" adaptor?

Thanks for the feed back guys. I did get a few part numbers; but no illustration. Went to the Chrysler parts counter in town this afternoon. Ordered two heater hoses via Oklahoma. Parts should be in by Friday at the latest. Yes, the mechanic concurs that a 3/4 to 5/8 nipple would be the 'Last Resort' attempt to create a custom heater hose. And, yes, I believe that would work just fine. We will see what comes in from the parts depot in Oklahoma. In the meantime, if you have in your possession heater hoses from RPL made in Australia, please check both ends of the ~ one foot long 'S' shaped hose to make sure it has a 5/8" end and a 3/4" end. Issue could be a fluke, and I got the only one.....

I had my heater hoses installed two months ago and they didn't tell me about that issue. They just said they needed to do a little bending on a couple to get a better fit. You would think that the hole would be consistent throughout the length of the hose. I wonder if my guy just used the adapter and didn't tell me.

They are talking about heater hoses, not radiator hoses.

When I installed the timing belt on the Kat, I also installed the radiator hoses and heater hoses that I purchased from RPL. I was short the lower "S" shaped heater hose. I went down to Oreilly, showed the counter guy the hose. He came back with a hose that was about a inch short. But the right "S" shape and size and it just streached out about a inch. It seems to be working. But I never got the part number? Steve
