I changed my rear shocks from Suspension Dynamics to Koni's..As you are aware,Chrysler dealers sell the shock, spring and u-bracket for $890 each...I changed both shocks for $230.00...if anyone is interested, I can post the entire process...It is a bit of work but it will save you $1700....and the car will ride much better.. I bought the Koni's as well but haven't installed them yet. Did you buy them direct from Koni as I did? Love to see the procedure. I have the manual and it doesn't look too bad. But every little bit of help is welcomed. |

Just an update...the ride is much better...my teeth don't bang together when I hit a bump..I did change the rear tires also...(due to the ZEX nitrous)....with the original type EMT's from Goodyear. The shocks are available from Koni rep Stoney.Hamilton2@itt.com The part #s are: Front = 8240-1169 $97 each Rear = 8240-1170 $97 each The instructions are above in a .pdf file for those that need them. Good Luck, |

Dave: thanks very much for the pix. I see you used the Harbor Freight spring compressor. It happens to be on sale right now so I will pick it up. My email is redheet55@yahoo.com. We still have a few more weeks of good driving weather here in NorCal. I won't tackle this until the November rains force me to dry dock for the winter. Thanks again. Isn't this website/resource awesome???? |

Has anyone 'recently' replaced their rear shocks and what yall use and what did it run?? Our BT#101 back shocks are leaking in the and the ride quality isn't what it and while its still in the budget for the car I want them done. |

I just replaced my rear shocks made by Steve. I'm not sure if he is still in business . I know complete shocks are expensive here in Canada. Check with a shop in your area. They would be able to give you some good advice and cost . Keep spring replace shock....? Robin.... http://theprowlerstore.com/Products_Page_Parts_Upgrades_Shocks-Springs.htm

CCJ I don't think Prowlerstore is selling for less. Steve was selling for $1600 a set of 4 I think, Prowlerstore $2100 a set. |
