Has anyone ever relocated the rear transmission cooler to another location on the car? My truck has the cooler laying flat to the side of the transmission. It's part of the tow package offered on GM trucks, could this be done on a Prowler? I've been asked several times if the car was a kit car. Everyone wants to know what that radiator looking device is that is hanging under the car, they think it's a kit car. |

Could it be moved in front of the radiator or would the pump be to weak to push the fluid farther? Several cars have 3-4 radiators/coolers in a row. Just a thought. This message has been edited by Gort on 09-18-2013 at 02:33 PM |

Answer this question and you answer your own question... Why not put the motor in front of the radiator? |

Gort, if you are concerned about the looks, why not get a Tom Mills rear pan? It seems to hide it well( bumpers or non). I think you are asking for trouble, moving the cooler. And once you move it, what are you looking at,,,,,the tranny oil pan. People will say what is that pan hanging down from your kit car? JMO |

You wouldn't want to block the air flow to the radiator. I get a kick out of some of the things people say about the car. I stopped for gas in Podunk one time a few years back and a guy was complimenting me on the car and asked if I did all the work myself. Its been called a viper, a PT cruiser, a Deusenberg (sp)... but reguardless of what they call it, or what's on it, it gets their attention, and they like it. Alot of people are just unknowledgeable about the car or it's existance. We can educate them (or have fun with them). |
