I searched for the answer already from past post and could not find it so I thought I would ask.

Could someone with a tech manual please tell me how tight to make the bolt when doing an oil change. All I could find in the posts is don't over tighten it, but no torque associated with it.

I did notice that some people where saying to add 5.25 to 5.5 quarts of oil with filter. Is it different for different years, because my owners manual that I am currently looking at says 5 quarts. I own a gold 02'

Thanks.

According to my Service Manual, the oil pan drain plug has a torque spec of 25 ft.lbs.. I have a '97, but I suspect that the oil pan is the same on all of them. My service manual also calls for 5 qts of oil with a filter change.
