These Vertical Stabilizer Links (VSL) are a bolt in replacement for the OEM vertical stabilizer links (Mopar Part # 04786592AB) Item 35 shown below in exploded assembly view.

Are you sick of looking at those rotting, cracked grease fitting covers on your original VSL’s?

These VSL’s are a permanent fix over the OEM part.

Not to mention these VSL's look better with the aluminum connecting rod that matches the Prowler frame. I have sold over 150 sets of VSL's and all customers have been satisfied.

Fits 1997-2002 Plymouth / Chrysler Prowler.

The Vertical Stabilizer Links are sold in pairs with easy to install directions (less than 60 min). FREE shipping & handling.

AC - does the lack of any rubber cushion in the joints add any harshness to the ride?

Unfortunately the new ones you just bought are just as old and have been sitting around on a shelf since they were made .not recently I can tell you that.
They too will look that way in a bit.
The rubber bushing is there mostly to keep the joint lubricated. Brian's replacement is perfect as a one time fix.
It will not effect the ride in any manner.
So if you can return them do so. If not use them until they break down again. Then have a set of Brian's set aside.
Parts for our cars are not reproduced much any more.
Most items have been discontinued.
So a great product that will outlast our cars is great to have.

If your front stabilizer link boots are this bad, have you checked your rear upper lateral link boots? They have the same boot material as the front links. There are alternatives available for them also.

Im considering these as well since it seems like an easy install and my boots look just as bad... is there any type of improvement in handling/ride/cornering with them?

The rear links can tighten up handling if the old ones are twisted. You need to complete a four wheel alignment when you get done. Here's a link to them. They're on sale right now.

Sorry actually I was referring to the front links above, I just replaced the rears with Control Freaks and can say between them and the new coilovers the handling in corners is MUCH improved, it no longer feels like the ass end is going to break loose when I hit the gas when cornering.

If you go into reproduction of parts you will see a thread by spoons there is and email and more info about ordering. His name is Brian Richards Aka spoons.
Most owners have them on . No noticeable difference in handling just better look functionally and appearance,
Now add a wonder bar and people say you can improve ride.

Mine are breaking down as well. Something I've noticed that may be nothing but worth bringing up. Looking at that boot material, it looks like the same boot material that comes on the lower front ball joints. It has that same yellowish slightly translucent look to it. I suppose I'm going to look at my entire front and rear suspension to see how many parts have these style on boots and the condition of them. The boots at one time(and still might be), a major contributor to failures. The boots look like their disintegrating. What ever material makes up these boots doesn't seem to me like they can take much twisting and don't have much "stretch-abililty" before breaking down. I've never seen boots in any automotive application break down like these.

Ordered a set today as when I was changing my battery I noticed they are done. The good thing is my Optima red top battery lasted 11 years which is impressive with the number of years here in Arizona. The heat eats batteries out here.

I have the spoons replacement links in the front and the control freaks upper laterals in the rear. Installed them last year when my car only had 500 miles on the odometer. The rubber bushings on mine were falling apart, not from use but from age. That, plus Larry Lords wonderbar has made a big difference in the handling. It was much more squirrelly before. Also swapping runflats with standard rubber makes driving it much more enjoyable.

I offer you the most correct and cheapest way to repair your current stabilizer links. Just remove the old cracked rubber boots, add new grease, put on new boots and your VSL vertical stabilizer links will last for a very long time. Easy to install. can be done in your garage.
you can buy here http://lavky.com/oCzUs
