![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So after getting the car polished and ceramic coated, the suspension/ brake calipers, and all other parts that are exposed need to be refreshed. I want to remove all parts and get the powder coated. Can I get advice on how to tackle this project? Anyone that has done this before ? Any advice is welcome, tools needed, do I have to order anything before hand ? Thanks in advance guys. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For what you are going to have in stripping, prep, and painting - just send to Gary for chroming. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I stripped mine, ground away all the casting lines. Had them shot lasted all over then clear coated. There is a product on the market for doing aluminium. Can’t recall it’s name mind. I dislike all the cast markings and wanted a stock look but with a twist. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dave, that’s a clean look. I want to accomplish something like it. I was thinking black with a clear coat so it doesn’t show dirt or brake dust, and it makes it easy to clean. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() quote: If you still have OEM brake pads, you'll got lots of dust. Upgrade to ceramic pads and you'll never have brake dust again! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I still have everything stock. It is dusty but since I don’t drive it much it hasn’t bothered me, but that’s a good idea. I do need advice on tools needed for the job as well as parts |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ceramic Rasbestos GCD 730 QS You just need a ratchet and socket, probably 13 mm but I can't remember for sure. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ceramic Rasbestos PGD 730 QS You just need a ratchet and socket, probably 13 mm but I can't remember for sure. The price has dropped quite a bit. Below $40 now. Do the FRONTS ONLY. The rear rotor is aluminum and they will eat the rotor up. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Another option is the stainless steel A-arm covers. I wrapped my covers with carbon fiber wrap and they look good IMO. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Another option is to have the a-arms and yoke, which are aluminum polished. This will give you a look almost as good as chrome at less cost. See Pat's Video 18 to see what this looks like. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I need help and advice on suspension not brakes guys. I want to remove everything and coat it. I guess this got lost in the last comment. Do I need to buy bushings? Ball joints need to be replaced by the simple fact that I removed the arms or if it’s in good condition be reused again? Etc.. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Beachkat2 do you have pictures to share on how yours look? Advice on taking the suspension off? Or you didn’t take it off? |
