Hi all, I'm planning to do a service on my 2000 Prowler. Since owning the car, engine oil and spark plugs were the only stuff done. Living in a very humid and hot place, I think it is time... We do not have Chrysler dealer in my country, so I will have to order everything from the USA. I would like to have some help on parts number ( I heard some change ) and since the car will go on a full service some advise are welcome to save me time if I forgot to include something in my listing or something I should do while pulling that or this. What I'm thinking doing so far: Transmission filter package: Transmission pan gasket: Transmission sensors: Windows Seals: Wheel Center cap ( chrome ) Accessory belt A/C belt Timing belt Tensioner Belt Tensioner pulley Water pump Thank you for your time, ------------------ This message has been edited by Olo on 06-09-2010 at 03:14 PM |

Look at this link for center caps. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum21/HTML/000020.html If you are looking for extras, that is a different story but if you need some repaired, this would work. I do have some extras that have been updated. |

for the trans pan, donot use a gasket, use a product called---the right stuff, comes in a can similar to cheese whiz and will never leak.available just about anywhere.change to mobil one oil.theres no such thing as a tensioner belt.why do you think you would need window seals.chrysler makes the best seals out there,w/a litte care will last 40 yrs or more.i use a product called-rubber care-made by wurth co.use on all weatherstrips.www.wurthusa.com-part# is-0890 110-u.bty the 6 seals are over 600.00 bucks .water pump # is 4792195.use zerex g05 longlife coolant and you will need 2 hoses.sooner than later you will experince a emission hose failure/lite on on dash and emission lite code.the rubber/neopreme hoses get dried out and crack, causing the above lite.id replace all th hoses at the rr charcoal cannister, you will have to make these hoses to fit,n/a from chrysler.ive already replaced all of mine.there are also some hoses up frt at the engine.since your in a area that has no chrysler dealers,id suggest buying the main 5 inch thick purple manual.many on ebay right now.there worth every cent.also if your car came with a owners manual,READ IT. ------------------ This message has been edited by catfish on 06-09-2010 at 04:55 PM |

The center cap look great, I hope I didn't throw the old one! I'm planning to replace the windows seal because both of my windows are leaking when raining very hard or washing the car. It seems the weather made the seal weak and crack even if the car is stored... Thanks for the tips. ------------------ |

I have found Go Chrysler to be more expensive than Jeff Hunter's old place. Call 1-800-456-5337 and ask for the POA discount for the cheapest price. I think the contact there is Scott. |

Yes having the Cat in Tahiti ( and in yellow ) always attract a lot of attention everywhere I go... sometimes so much that people almost get into accident... haha Thanks for the contacts. I saw the topics about the timing belt but I don't trust much non chain belt to last long... especially with the type of weather i'm living... But after reading some of the timing belt topics I will first check my current timing belt and see after 10 years, what condition it will be before ordering anything. Thanks all. ------------------ |
