One of the things that has bugged me about my car is the way the front facia attaches to the front quarter panel. It's a minor thing, I know, but I would still like to improve it.

According to my service manual, there are clips below and aft of the upper a-arm that are used to join the facia to the front quarter panel (see image below, area circled in red).

My passenger side lines up pretty well and I have no issues there. However, the driver's side attachment point is not as well aligned. I've seen other Prowlers where I guess this clip has fallen out and the facia and quarter panels are no longer joined at all. (When bad owners happen to good cars....)

Has anyone ever worked with these attachment clips before? How hard are they to remove or reinstall? Might there be a better method of attaching the two panels?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

the clip is part of the lower frt.side panel.i'm not sure if you can buy it seperate.you will have to ck.with a knowledgeable parts person.you can't screw it together, cause theres no way to get to it.thats why they use a clip.

I am fairly sure there is a screw on one side but not the other.

the clip brkt that attaches to the lwr.side pnl. is riveted on.then the 2 pieces snap together.
there is no way to get to the brkt, unless you remove frt cover and maybe the lwr.side pnl.
