EXCLUDING TURBOCHERGER AND NOS......HOW CAN I GET A FASTER PROWLER???? OK GEARS AND FILTER...BUT...THEN??? I CANT BELIVE THAT THE ENGINE CAN ONLY HAVE 250HP! |

You could have the speedometer re-calibrated so you think you are going faster.  It may also reduce the number of speeding tickets you collect as well. Keep in mind a parked Prowler looks like it is going fast anyway. |

If your going to pump up the HP you may want to consider a upgrade on the tranny.... Prowler Pro and Performance Innovations both address the Transmission when increasing the HP to any large degree... I have been using up a set of rear tires almost every summer and just picked up a $300 speeding ticket... I don't think I want much more than I have already... well, maybe just a little... |

Prowler Pro and Westech both offer stroker motors. You can get the motor stroked up to 5.0. You will need to also get the tranny beefed up to handle the power. I had always hoped someone would come up with a triple throttle body setup and the necessary computer programming. Dean, at Prowler-pro truly has the answers. I have known him for a number of years and to say the least, he really knows his craft. The top speed is built into the computer and I don't know just how to change that(maybe Dean does???) He has a fantastic set of headers to go with your gears and the combo. will really help the cars performance. Past that you really have to change lots of stuff. Don't bother trying to "bolt-on" past that just have him build you and engine-HE REALLY KNOWS HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY. That's my take on it and I would stake everything on his abilities and craftsmanship, Obi-Wan |
