I am putting in an X pipe and removing the muffler. I have a Borla system. Will the cat exhaust tips change the tone if I leave them. I heard Butchee's exhaust and what a great sound.

Yes if you leave the plugs in the tips with a straight exhaust it will change the sound. It a lot lounder with them out, the straight pipes make it a very dramatic difference between the two, so leave them in, check the sound then pull them out if it is to soft sound wise.

I found that when I stuck my baffles back in I got a strange resonance that bugg'd the heck out of me at cruise, but with them removed it dissipeared.

I don't have the stock tips, I have the Borla tips with the cat logo.

I forgot about not advertising here any more. Dean makes some fine inovative stuff. It would be nice if he posted here more and kept us up to date with products and progress...and just shoot the bull a bit. There are new guys coming aboard all the time that never hear about ProwlerPro. Guess you, Dan and Wayne are the mascots.
