Does the Prowler has a fuel shot off or is the cat limited at high speed. I´m from Frankfurt , Germany and I bought a 2001 Prowler . I drove the car on the Highway 75 and it feels like that there is a fuel shot off at 130 miles p.h.

The fuel shut off is at 6,600 RPM, no matter what speed you're going.

Yes in additon to the rev limiter mentioned , there is a top speed limiter at approx 130 mph. Except on the Prowlers sold in Canada.

The top speed of the car is usually ok. Most times I do cruise more with the car here in the USA. But I will ship the cat in Sept. to Germany. And it is nice to have a little bit more top speed for a short time when you pass other cars at the german-autobahn.

At 115 mph the front tends to get light, Carter and I have done many Speed Runs and it takes a while to get there. And the Prowlers tongue is hanging out at 120.

Have fun, be safe.

Gary is right... there is no get-up at 120. I have taken my to 125 and it took a while to get there. I ran out of empty highway and a curve was coming up to try and go faster.

Thanks for the Infomation.
I will drive the car 2000 miles in the USA.It is a nice car with style. I owned 5 Street Rods in the past 10 years, still have a 1933 3W Coupe + a Model-A. I sold my 1934 Roadster that I build in 2001/02.
( To windy / loud/strengnous ) The Prowler replaces the Roadster and it is the only new factory roadster that fits into the Hot Rod Scene.
If I think that I need more Power in the cat, I can replace the 3.5 engine with some V8. ( ... 2003-SL-5L/AMG engine).
