I have two trailer wiring harnesses - one from a 97 Town and Country and one from a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan. P/N 04707682 and P/N 04868383AA Will either of these work on the Prowler trailer ? Just wondering. Need the Wiring harness for the Prowler. Thanks, John |

John, Depending on how much of a hurry you're in, CJ recently posted that the wiring harness (among other items) are now orderable again. http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006373.html ------------------ |

Yep...... BE VERY CAREFUL...... note that this is for a TRAILER, not the car. I set a high bid on this at $75 yesterday. Then when I went in and read it again slowly, I noticed it is for the trailer side. Not the auto side. Sent an email to him and he confirmed. Almost had to buy $75 part I don't need. John |

While I can't say for sure, I believe that the van harness will work. Just check the TEE fitting to see if it will plug into your harness under your trunk floor mat. If it will then just place the 4 flat connector pigtail (remove the outer protector tubing if needed) between the bottom of your decklid and the top of the rear valence in the center rear of your car, close your decklid and the pigtail should be right where you need it to connect your trailer. This should allow you to use the harness you have and not need to drill the 1.125" hole as required with the Prowler harness to get the wire through the floor. |

I've had a factory wiring harness kit on order from my local Dodge dealer for at least 4-5 weeks and it hasn't showed up yet. Last Sat. I stopped in at U-Haul and bought their $8 wiring harness and hooked it up in 15-20 minutes. It works fine with the Mopar trailer. Installation may not be quite as clean as the factory kit, but no one can see it under the trunk mat. ------------------ |

Which U Haul Kit did you purchase??? I'm getting my hitch installed in the morning, but there are no wiring harnesses to be had... Lucky me the dealer in town had a hitch in stock or I'd be SOL... Thanks, |
