DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO HOW TO CLOSE THE 3 HOLES IN THE FRONT BUMPER WHERE THE LICENSE PLATE BRACKET USED TO BE, I REMOVED IT AND NEED TO FILL THE HOLES WITH SOMETHING THAT IS RIGHT. THANKS! |

I used a large drill bit to knock the burr down and found a couple of "black plugs" the size of BIC ink pen plugs on the end of the ink pens. I needed one more plug so I used the end off of a black BIC ink pen. I was really upset and my dealer wouldn't work with me on replacing the bumper. After plugging them I didn't even notice them any more. Also there is a front bumper on e-Bay for sale...No holes! I have an extra Passenger side black bumper cheap too. ------------------ PROWLEN.... John (-: |

Rich, when I had the holes I used that liquid steel that you mix two parts together and it almost completely matched the grey of my bumpers. I smoothed it out with my finger and it looked good. I later had the bumpers painted and the shop reworked them and they disappeared. ------------------ |

Rich, Either ship them or bring them to me and i will fix it for free. I manage a large collision shop here in the houston area. If that is not an option, go to your local auto refinish shop there in kerrville and ask them for the 3M flexable bumper 2 part epoxy repair kit. Read the instructions and continue yourself. Important to remember is that if you have ever applied armorall or type product, it is a MUST that you remove residue with a refinish quality type "wax and grease" remover.. For more info: |
