Here is another alternative available to you.....recently installed my new Brembo drilled & slotted rotors with Disc Italia Hyper Ceramic pads. What a noticeable/effortless difference in stopping and virtually no more brake dust!!!! Prices are a little steep, but both products are world renowned....was willing to pay the price. Now that they are installed, I'm extremely happy with both brands/components.

Hi Don,
You're correct....the Disc Italia ceramic pads were higher in cost than most other brands (paid $70/free shipping). This was for the front wheels only. If you're referring to all four wheels, I didn't go that route due to the factory rear rotors composition being special, whereas, other POA members have mentioned NOT to use ceramic pads on them. Maybe they will elaborate for you and others to take notice. Possibly catfish might know the specifics. If I am wrong about the back rotors and use of ceramic pads on them, I apologize in advance and stand to be corrected.

You CAN put ceramics on the rears. Waynew has had them on his car for about 3 years now with no problems.

I for one encourage everyone to put the best brakes on any car they have that they can afford.

When it comes to my safety and the safety of others, it in my opinion is much more important than saving a few dollars.

If your budget will not allow for top of a line parts, buy the best you can afford. JMO

Wagner or Morse brand ceramic brake pads are $40. They are great pads. I have put them on 10+ cars; they work great and they are dust free. Reybestos use to be $40, then they sponsored NASCAR (~2003) and the price doubled.
