note:if one of black end guides are broken ,its not repairable.bear w/me this will take awhile.this will be a step by step process.remove dr.panel.you do not need to unhook wires from switch assembly, leave attached, because you will need to use switch to move window up/down.to remove switch assembly, depress metal tab on backside of switch, push assembly thru hole and remove panel.remove weather shield.to reattach weathershield and hold in place when done use duct tape.remove inner belt strip,it just pulls off.its on inside of glass.near top center of door is a fabric guide remove.to remove glass, roll down glass about halfway, for rear of glass bolt access, bolts are torks head,
remove bolts 2.at frt.of glass is a white plastic slide,no bolts.slide glass toward rear till it comes off slide.remove glass thru top of door.remove reg.7 nuts-10mm. push reg,to outside of dr.so its no longer attached to dr.shell.before removing reg,out large hole in frt.of dr.remove 2 bottom jack screws, they are gold colored.it makes it a lot easier to get reg out of dr.pay close attenion how it comes out of dr.note:i suggest after you have it out, before you do repair, put reg.back in dr,as if you were reinstalling,at least a couple of times.to repair reg.you will need 3m structural adhesive, about 20.00,available at most body paint supply stores.part#051135-08101 comes in red box.i suggest repairing, all 4 white plastic cable attaching points-2 at center where motor attaches, and 2-1 on lt,side-1 on rt. side.if cable is pulled loose at end guide, and not actually broken reinsert, back into end guides.if its broken repair at cracks.also cable has a piece of felt about 3 inches long attached to it remove and check underneath it.mine was cracked there.clean any grease off cable at all areas to be epoxied.rough up all areas w/40 grit or rougher paper.repair 4 attaching points first.rough up at lest 2 inches in each direction.next due cracks, lay reg.on something that will keep cracked area together.you dont want to get epoxy on actual screw drive thats inside cable.let epoxyset for 24hrs,before reinstall.when reinstalling, you will see marks on paint where nuts were orignally.reassemble.glass should be back in its original place.close dr.make sure glass has a good seal against w/strip.not to tight and not to loose.use the dollar bill trick.take and put between glass and strip.shut dr.bill should take some effort to remove.if it is to loose,or real tight, glass needs more adjustment.glass is adjustable forward-backward- inside and outside, sideways adjustment.and at rear only for up and down.its much easier tthan it looks.any questions email me.- add.info-to make a strong repair, use a small strip of fiberglass cloth, apply epoxy and imbed cloth in epoxy, before it sets up.makes for a super strong repair.
