The story continues.....My prowler tech thought the torque converter was indeed the cause of the vibration I was feeling on deceleration from 60 to 50mph. It seemed perfectly logical that it was locking up. DC balked at doing the repair but shop manager and tech got it done anyway. Just got the call from the shop manager that problem still there on test drive. Please see the original string at http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/001340.html
for more detail. They are now calling the regional tech advisor to come in. It may take up to a month for them to get here. I said if the snow is flying then car is packed away and not seeing the road for test drives. Hopefully he can make it in sooner.
Any further suggestions or thoughts beyond or adding to what was previously discussed would be helpful. I hope once this is solved, I can post the solution so that if it occurs to anyone else, they have somewhere to start.
Thanks,
Grant

I still suspect something in the front end. Re-Check 4 wheel alignment, Re-Check Wheel Balance, Install Suspension Brace (If not alreadt Installed.) Take it to another Dealer and have them go over the Ball Joint Install to make sure everything was done right.

I Know how frustrating this is to you.

Good Luck,
Ed Holler

Thanks Jan,
Actually, several people (including independant techs) assured me that the driveshaft was computer high speed balanced before leaving the factory.
The new transmission is on order. If for some reasonm this does not solve the problem, I'll go whichever way the dealer wants to go next since it's still under warranty.
