Timing is everything...on the hottest day on record for June 1 here in Denver..the Prolwer AC decides to provide blow torch hot air while on AC. Bum-O-Rama!!! Any obvious reasons for such a premature failure of the AC system? Fuses? Switches? ]JWD says the compressor clutch is engaging..the air coming out of the ducts is cold. Does the Prowler have a high tempreature limit swith to disengage the AC when it gets hot? The reason I mention this is because: 1. once it cooled off it seems to work fine.. and 2. Having the AC shut down when you really need it sounds like an evil plan that only Chrysler could think of.[/b] ------------------ This message has been edited by Chromer on 06-01-2002 at 06:55 PM |

Chromer - hang tight,,,,,,,,,put the top down, and go cruising. Check all fuses? Have Jack stand on chair next to open hood,,,while engine is idling, turn on the A/C button, and have Jack tell you if the compressor is engaging and trying to run. If compressor is engaging and running, with no cool air coming from vents, it may be a leak in the system - 134 freon is more critical for amounts than F-12 was. I'm not at home to email you, but check your Private Message from the website. ------------------ |
