I had a guy up the street make me a suspension brace (he did it for FREE!) The only problem is that it was made of steel and didn't look as cool as the others I've seen on the forum.

So I went to the local scrap yard and bought a piece of 1/2"X1 1/2" aluminum stock for $2.00 and a couple M8X50mm Bolts for $1.00. I cut the stock to 18" with a hacksaw. I then drilled two 5/16" holes 16 1/4" apart (8 1/8 from center) as directed in another post.

MAAANNNNNN! What a difference a brace makes! If you haven't done this to your Prowler yet, you are really missing out on a much smoother ride, far less rattle, and much better handling and cornering.

Thanks to everyone who posted their findings in various threads on this subject. Those testimonials are what convinced me to break down and spend the best $3.00 I have spent in a long time.

OK. Now you've done it. You've discovered the limit of my forum litteracy.

How do I post a picture? I managed an entire year on the CorvetteForum without my stupidity being exposed. Only a week here and you all know my deep dark secret.

PS. I emailed you a few

Ed what years your Kat? People tell me its not that big a difference on my 01 + 02. If it's that good i'll try it. My kats don't ride that bad anyway?

Mine is an 01 Mullholland. The difference is nothing short of amazing. It really was simple to make. Took about 30 minutes from strat to finish.

The hardest thing (other than finding the 8MX50mm bolts) was cutting the stock to it's 18" length with a hacksaw. Other than thst, simply drill the two 5/16" holes 16 1/4" apart and bolt it up. Went on like a charm.

I brought the car to work yesterday and fabricated the brace
and installed. I was impressed with the outcome when I went home. I like to keep my stuff stock and remain with the original integrity of the design. This was a great improvement. recommend 100%
