This morning there was a 4.8-magnitude earthquake centered in Northern New Jersey that was felt as far away as Boston. In NYC, a camera mounted on Statue of Liberty caught the action. Our house on Long Island started shaking, kitchen table and chairs all vibrating. Up on second floor bedroom furniture started rattling and shaking. Books on shelves fell over. My sister is in Norwalk CT. Woke her husband up, shook the house. (He works third shift). They felt the aftershock as well. John |
