Well gas here in Toronto just just went up to $2.10 a litre.
That equates to $7.94 for a U.S. gallon.

But wait ... there's more good news .... they have announced another price increase later this week.
That will equate to about $8 a U.S. gallon.

As I said before ... I'm really looking forward to driving in the U.S. this summer !!!!

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Lets keep politics out of it😂😂😂😂. Ya gotta find better sources than Newsmax😂

So explain Canada’s prices please.

There are 70 operating oil and gas pipelines regulated by the CER that cross the Canada-US border: 31 oil and 39 natural gas. So please tell me how this one was the game changer.

Excellent read Dave. Newsmax is one of the places I go rather than tune into any mainstream media. Really not interested in the news according to their narrative. I find the reporting of the main stream networks insulting. Gas here in my area now over 5.00 a gallon and diesel over 7.00. Food prices are absurd as well as everything else. I guess the model for our country is now Venezuela cause I see a lot of similarities.

Lets Go Brandon!!!!

Are you asking why gas in Canada is so expensive??
Main reason: liberal policy! gas tax is very high, there are few refineries left and they recently just imposed an additional carbon tax.
Last I checked, gas up north is ~200/L or around $8USD/gal
Maybe our Canadian friends can chime in...

Gasoline prices are crazy. Yesterday I filled up in Duluth at $4.48. Today in Michigan I’m looking at $5.09. Canada is like $8. Are we going to vote out the people driving these prices? Gas is a commodity. Why $.71 difference for the exact same product?

My guess would be several factors.

Operating costs for that particular station depending on if it is company owned, privately owned, or rented by the operator.

Location also seems to be a factor, if a station is closer to a busy highway or out in the sticks somewhere and how many stations there are in the immediate area.

The largest factor is more bottom line related....The station is going to charge the highest price the market will bear at that moment.

Just hope the stations aren't dumping their tanks of hurricane effected gas due to water or dirt/sand contamination ?

What was the price before the hurricane there?
