I just finished installing a new toilet fill valve in my toilet tank....I had gone to Lowes to purchase one and they offered several brands....After looking at all three it became obvious to me that the KORKY brand was the best of the bunch (even though I'm no plumber).

The price was about $2.50 MORE than the competing valves but the difference in quality was obvious.

The installation was "piece of cake" and the valve works flawlessly....I was so impressed that I looked up the manufacturer's website to send them an email of thanks...

The manufacturer is Lavelle Industries, Inc and they proudly build plumbing products in Burlington, WISCONSIN USA

Oh, BTW.....I installed the valve in my 25 year-old KOHLER toilet I insisted on when I built my home over a quarter of a century ago. The toilet was manufactured in Kohler, WISCONSIN USA

The bottom line is; pay a few bucks more if necessary and tell the Ho-Chee-Min Manufacturing Company "Thanks, but no thanks" and look for the "Made In The USA" when shopping....You'll be glad you did

Yes I agree that MADE in the USA is important to support.

One of the tactics that some are now implementing is to print USA in large letters on the packaging preceded in much smaller letters with the words "assembled in the" and followed sometimes by words like "of global components"

I guess the manufacturer's are hoping that the consumer sees the large USA and overlooks the smaller print.

Assembled in the USA from global components

I too, am willing to spend a few extra dollars on USA made products but....if the imported product is of better quality and more affordable, it is the product I might choose instead. Just because something is made here, it regretfully does not always guarantee it is the better choice.

I also try to buy American, but agree with alrtg post.

If it wasn't for Japanese car manufactures quality, Detroit would still be building Pinto's and Vaga's.
