...a couple of days before Christmas, Doug and the gang at Dorns AutoCrafters finished another long term project....the Vette belongs to a lifelong friend "Big G"....he bought the '78 Silver Anni brand new and enjoyed the crap out of it for several years....it was eventually parked with 27K miles and basically forgotten except for the occasional drive to see what was leaking....last year, "Big G" decided he wanted the car brought back to life and I hooked him up with Doug and the rest, as they say, is history...

we chose the Chrysler Inferno Red to replace the very tired 2 tone silver/gray....the interior was refurbished saving nearly everything and a change of carpet color to make the seats pop....new 17" wheels, exhaust, and sounds brought the very worn Vette back to life....since it isn't for sale, nor will it ever be, changing the color wasn't a hurdle at all....

..."Big G" and I go all the way back to pre school....grade school, highschool, lived a few blocks apart for most of our lives...the best friend a person could have ... he is a math teacher, planning on retiring in a few more years to go Vettin' again...

WideRoller Doug did a fabulous job on that Vette,,,,,looks brand new again!!! Good color choice also!

Tubby - are you sure Big G has known you that long,,,,and still considers you a friend? LOL,lol

Tangled [left] and Wide Roller [right],,,,trying to decide which color to paint the Vette before going into the paint booth. Tangled was pushing for a blue,,,while Doug wanted a red color.

Glad I only wear that nutsling on special occasions. Tangled, however, wears his daily to keep his package from sagging.

Doug - get us a picture of Taco wearing his 'slinger while working in the kitchen,,,down at the diner! Hope he keeps well shaved,,,,so there isn't any hair in the soup, lol.

Good thing I don't live in New Castle,,,we'd never be able to leave the diner after breakfast. Our guts would be too sore from laughing all morning.

they're hand sewn.....he works on these while traveling on the rails...
