I am having some work done this winter on the Kat over at Only Yesterday. This is a high end restoration shop owned by a great guy named Chuck Spielman. Chuck has a fantastic collection of classic cars, muscle cars, and new exotics that make any enthusiast drool with envy. Half of his facility is a state of the art shop, and the other half is a showroom the likes of which I have never seen before. He also has an area for regular guys to store their treasures. Out back he has the largest dyno on the west coast. The staff there is the absolute best in the industry and they do not work on just any car. Chuck is a super nice guy and I was proud to show off my Prowler to him. He does not want one but still had nice things to say about it. You can see more about this amazing place at www.oldautos.com. Here are some pics I took today around the shop and the showroom. You can rent the showroom for private events too.

Guy, is the Blue Cuda a HEMI? I could have bought one that color in the mid 80's for $6,000...........I thought, there is no way a 70 Cuda can be worth that much money. If it is a Hemi car I wonder if it is the same car |

Good story behind the Cuda. Chuck bought it and the numbers did not match. Went out and found the right parts to make the car original. Doing a complete restoration on it down to the orange frame markings. When finished will be one fine car. The hemi that he pulled out is sitting on the floor next to my Prowler. I will be over there this morning and will get some more pics. He also has a very large collection of antique bicycles. Some very interesting contraptions in that room. Also, the red Camaro has 7,000 original miles on it. This message has been edited by xpguy on 12-21-2006 at 09:47 AM |

Also, this car is going to Barrett Jackson in January and should fetch between $600,000 and $900,000. Chuck is donating half of the proceeds to cancer research.

There is so much to see, and I hate to keep adding to this post, but I have a couple more. This car belongs to the owner of the Robb Report and is only one of six made with factory air conditioning.
This V16 just went up in value as one of the only remaining three in the world was just totaled. Beautiful eggplant color.
And this is what is under wraps in the Jaguar.

And finally (I promise) here is a very rare clay model of the Dodge Challenger concept car. |
