Would it matter to you if it came out that Willard actually did not pay any taxes for the last 4 yrs? Or that President Obama got a "C" in political science at Columbia? Which would be worse? ------------------ |

We have people, the IRS, that will determine if Romney paid the appropriate amount of taxes, at least over the past three years which can be extended if they determine fraud. That's their job. That's what they get paid for. Somehow I think that Romney paid the taxes due on his returns. I know I did and I didn't like it at all. Now, here's the questions everyone should be asking; where's the annual Federal budget, how do we eliminate the $1T per year no budget deficit, how do we address the National debt, how do we get the unemployed back to work and paying taxes rather than collecting from the government who is going to enforce the laws on the books and not pick and choose the one they wish to ignore, how do elevate the education of our children, currently 27th in the World, how can we slow down crime and control drugs which create so many problems in our society, how about protecting our borders from terrorists? How safe to you feel knowing that virtually anyone can cross over from Mexico and Central America without resistance? Sleep better at night? Yet I get roughed up every time I fly or return to the US from visiting a friend in Canada. Here's a radical idea, cut all of the BS and noise and focus on the key challenges facing you and I and our country. |

If Mitt didn't pay a dime in taxes and it was all legal then it doesn't trouble me at all. Those loop holes should be changed but if it was all legal then I don't care much. If he just outright didn't pay what he owed then he should be punished and that would be worse then a "C" grade by Obama, but we're not talking about the same thing here. Most problems with Obama is that knowbody knows him, he applied for aid as a non American then turns around and says he's American. Which is it, either way sounds like he broke a law to me. |

Which would you rather have, A person who didn't pay some taxes, or a man holding a job that only a AMERICAN BORN Citizen should have, All I can say, Are you prepared to spend 4 more years with all this Hope & Change. Realize it or not, He is destroying what is left of what we have. The American Dream is GONE. You just have to ask yourself, Can you take another 4 years of what we have just gone thru. Many cities are already empty, I am not saying Romney will save the US, this will be a long tough battle to bring back America, But I believe Romney will bring back CONFIDENCE for companies & the American people to start hiring & to start spending. You have to admit, What have we gained in the last 4 years, How many of us have had to change our retirement plans ? Some of us will now hve to work the rest of our lifes, I am not blaming Obama, But after almost 4 years in office, Can he do anything beside talk, to improve things. From what I am seeing, people are finally opening their eyes, If I had an employee that worked for me for 4 years with NO improvments, His A$$ would be walking down the road. We gave this guy a chance, Did he do what he said he would do ????? Not even close. Me personally, believe, people will have a better outlook on current events with a new person in charge, at least one we can check his background & Birthplace. Take a chance, we did this these last 4 years. Time for a Change.... This message has been edited by phil2237 on 08-08-2012 at 09:15 AM |

Oh and the selective law enforcement just gets better. The 800K now looks to be 1.6M. Read it here.... And you're still worried about whether Romney paid his taxes? The IRS has a job to do. It isn't up to us. But we can do something about this problem. Wasn't unemployment 8.3% last week, now let's add 1.8M and we get?????? This message has been edited by RPL on 08-08-2012 at 08:57 AM |

In addition to what has already been said does it bother you that Timothy Geitner the United Sates Seceretary of Treasury appointed by Obama didn't pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for several years while he worked for the International Monetary Fund and is an apparent tax cheat? The tax issue relates to Mr. Geithner's work for the International Monetary Fund between 2001 and 2004. As an American citizen working for the IMF, Mr. Geithner was technically considered self-employed and was required to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for himself as both an employer and an employee. More on Geithner In 2006, the IRS audited Mr. Geithner's 2003 and 2004 taxes and concluded he owed taxes and interest totaling $17,230, according to documents released by the Senate Finance Committee. The IRS waived the related penalties. During the vetting of Mr. Geithner late last year, the Obama transition team discovered the nominee had failed to pay the same taxes for 2001 and 2002. "Upon learning of this error on Nov. 21, 2008, Mr. Geithner immediately submitted payment for tax that would have been due in those years, plus interest," a transition aide said. The sum totaled $25,970. The Obama team said Mr. Geithner's taxes have been paid in full, and that he didn't intend to avoid payment, but made a mistake common for employees of international institutions. That characterization was contested by Senate Finance Republicans, who produced IMF documents showing that employees are repeatedly told they are responsible for paying their payroll taxes. As to why Mr. Geithner didn't pay all his back taxes after the 2006 audit, an Obama aide said the nominee was advised by his accountant he had no further liability. Senate Finance aides said they were concerned either Mr. Geithner or his accountant used the IRS's statute of limitations to avoid further back-tax payments at the time of the audit. Other tax issues also surfaced during the vetting, including the fact Mr. Geithner used his child's time at overnight camps in 2001, 2004 and 2005 to calculate dependent-care tax deductions. Sleepaway camps don't qualify. Amended tax returns that Mr. Geithner filed recently include $4,334 in additional taxes, and $1,232 in interest for infractions, such as an early-withdrawal penalty from a retirement plan, an improper small-business deduction, a charitable-contribution deduction for ineligible items, and the expensing of utility costs that went for personal use. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123187503629378119.html

Would it bother you if BHO got into Columbia and Harvard Law School because he applied as a foreign country student, and given special treatment? Would it bother you if BHO's passports listed him as a resident of a foreign country? What is BHO hiding? Million$ spent on sealed records and cover-ups. WHY? |

How much has Romney spent to cover up his taxes....nothing and the IRS has copies of all of them. IRS went after people that were hiding money outside of the country and avoiding paying taxes on this income. Did the people responsible for enforcing the laws have an issue with the taxes Romney paid? .....no. Why do the Democrats? Are the people going to allow leaders like Harry Ried to make up lies and share them with the media? How low can these people stoop? |

If Romney didn't pay a cent in taxes, but followed the tax laws so be it. If the King and his court doesn't like it, then why doesn't he change the tax codes!!! If Romney did anything wrong, do you really think the IRS would have overlooked that? I think not. Let the King emplament a flat tax (fair & equal share)that everyone pays, and you would see the leftest elite abort him like a sinking ship!! |

How about a president that takes his salary and spends all of his time campaigning, playing golf and vacationing? They say Nero fiddled while Rome burned and that is exactly what Barry is doing while the country goes down the tube. Like Nero he thinks he is an emperor that has the power to dictate whatever he wants. ------------------ |
