Thought I’d share this little tidbit of information.
In my rural community I have an Electric Cooperative for power. Every month I receive a publication of their monthly activities. Anyway, long story short. I noticed this…..There’s an article on electric demand and this is how they explain it. They are comparing it to vehicles.
Check out the two vehicles they’re using to compare. Is the car on the left a Lincoln Mark V? Absolutely no comparison.
It’s still a pretty good explanation.

So the 100 mile trip only took the Prowler 1hr (@100MPH) and the Lincoln 10hrs (@10MPH). Who had more fun???

But seriously, what happens when everyone drives an electric car and gets home at 5 o'clock and plugs in their car. Imagine the surge in electric demand.

They are really pushing the e.v.s and it was just reported how much the car companies lost of them. I THINK they said Ford lost $ 30 Million. Somebody has to make that up on their next purchase.
Meanwhile the USA produced more gas last month than it has for ever. So much for claiming to cut back on fossil fuels to get more votes. How did that work out?

Congress at the urging of the Biden administration agreed in 2021 to spend $7.5 billion to build tens of thousands of electric vehicle chargers across the country, aiming to appease anxious drivers while tackling climate change.

Two years later, the program has yet to install a single charger.

I have noticed a push for hybrids lately. I'm not talking Prius either. I saw a review on a plug-in Jeep Wrangler.
It's an easy way to meet EPA mileage standards.

Long term ahead,,,I'll admit that hybrid vehicles are probably the future and better bet, but I recently saw a new Jeep on a lot priced at $69,995
In the present economy how many buyers can afford or want to spend that many dollars?

We'll see.....
