After doing a search from enclosed to tilt trailers, I decided to buy an open trailer. I went with a timpte easy loader. Bought it on Friday and it was delivered today. It is a hydraulic drop trailer with a rock guard on front. Best pulling trailer I have ever pulled. Now I am ready for Gatilinburg. While I plan on driving the car as much as possible, on long trips, this will be used to save time and allow me to carry more stuff. With a 4 degree angle to drive on to the trailer, makes it easy to load with NO dragging. Drive on the trailer, use the remote to raise the trailer and all you have to do is secure the car. I would post a photo but that is above my skill sets. Can't wait for Gatlinburg event and meeting all these people I have talked with on this forum. |

Posting pictures is easy
Ok top right see the paper clip Click on that Then select upload ( I think) top of box So once you get picture you want on my I phone At bottom has (actual size) if I click on that can change size. Sometimes it will automatically adjust size sometimes I have to change manually, and any more always adjust to less than 500 mb Then upload and it is there bottom of box This message has been edited by WildCat on 07-29-2023 at 08:18 PM |

I looked your trailer up & it is a very nice trailer. I didn’t know they made car trailers. Looks almost exactly like my Futura. Mine is a winch/cable system to raise & lower instead of hydraulic. These trailers are real popular with race crowd. Very light weight and easy to pull. The only problem I’ve had was a bad electrical connection which delayed my loading. The simpler the trailer the better but Murphy always shows up eventually. So be thinking of plan B if something fails. I know you will enjoy this trailer as I have mine. I’ve pulled it several thousand miles. I load my car backwards now as I had a vehicle traveling the opposite way throw a rock, missing the rock guard, and chipped my windshield. Super cool - Congrats! I looked at the web site . I should do the same but 1) Where do you store your trailer and 2) what options are important ? Dick, that sounds smart to me. How hard is it to replace the rear window, though ? I bought one of the replacement windshields. Never opened it. Better go do that! Then, you need to invest in a truck to pull the darn things. Just takes Money! John |

The cool thing with this trailer is you drive on, press the remote button and raise the trailer, open your door and get out. The tie rings slide on a rail so you can position them exactly where you want them to tie the car down. I designed and built a windshield protector for my Jeep when I pulled it behind my motorhome so I may do the same thing for the prowler for extra protection. |

The weight distribution of the Prowler is 45% front and 55% rear which makes backing the car onto the trailer practical. Some people might have a tendency to want to "Protect" their car while transporting it on an open trailer by using a car cover.....This is not a great idea since the constant movement of the cover over the car will more than likely do more damage than having nothing at all on the car. I may be selling the 48 Foot Vintage Outlaw with the lift inside sometime in the near future, just don’t use it anymore. It did catch some hail dings from the recent storm. I haven’t researched what these are going for lately, so looking for suggestions.

So, looks like two nice trailers, the Futura and the Timpte. Quick question - What is more desirable the Spring ride or the Torsion Ride ? What is the difference ? Also, I do have cars that exceed 20 feet in length. Should I then investigate a deck that long as well ? Or will a shorter deck work ? Lots to learn, but may have found a decent truck with lower miles for a decent price. John |

I have springs on mine but wish it was torsion Since you may want to haul your land barges, you probably would be better with a 22 or 24’ if you invest in a trailer I towed a car on a 16’ trailer that was longer than trailer, it towed ok, but you have to worry about car getting hit . If trailer is longer and it gets bumped hopefully no damage to vehicle being hauled |

John Just like wildcat said. Go with a longer trailer. Every one wants the smallest trailer possible as it’s easier to maneuver & park. But you may want to haul something else on the trailer (tool box, set of tires, etc) along with the car. I would get one longer than the car I’m going to put on it. |
