I received the Wonder Bar about a week ago and just found the time to install it ( nice Power coating and machining )........ I love my Prowler! Robyn and I just put 3600 miles on it going to TX from Va. and back. I like the way the Kat drives and handles. I was kind of wondering if a 60% increase in handling and comfort was possible ( Alley Cat) with just changing the stabilizer bar. AC was very up front about matters and I took him at his word..... LARRY LORD YOU ARE THE MAN..... That is the best modification for handling and comfort you could ever put on your Prowler. It handles so different, so SMOOTH. No more teeth ratteling bumps. In a tight turn you feel like you have that much more control.. Larry you need to go ahead and make 500-600 WONDER BARS because once the word is out, Stand by. If you are on the Fence on this one, GET IT!!! I got no A.. to kiss and no ax to grind. One Great product A+++++++++ Larrypen stamp of approval LOL Larry:driving |

HH, it is take the old one off and put the new one on. No modifications needed. They said about an hour for the average guy. I am below average so I plan on a couple of hours, AT LEAST. lol |

My Prowler Tech took his time and it was done in under 45 minutes. Just take the old one off and replace with Wonder bar.I don't have a lift so i didn't bother with it myself. Its a lot easier with a lift. My kat does ride smoother, but 60% improvement? I'm not so sure. Good well made product better then stock ride. ------------------ |

CT - in all fairness, I believe the appox. % of improved ride suggested that the 1997 and 1999 cats could feel up to the higher amount figure. All that said, I'd say my cat has a 50% ride improvement. Results may vary,,,,depending on the year of the cat, which front shocks it has, tire air pressures, and whether one might have other aftermarket suspension braces installed. |

2002 Upper Brace installed. Its better but i'm waiting to see when barb rides in it if she notices a difference. Its got to help, the stock one was so thick it had no give to it. I haven't hit a bump yet with just one tire? I'll try it to see how much it helps.I'm sure on my long drive to canada it will be a lot smoother. ------------------ This message has been edited by CTProwler on 07-17-2004 at 03:57 PM |

Wow Larrypen! That was quite a report. I'm happy you like the Wonder Bar as much as I do. My second batch of Wonder Bars (New and Improved) are finished at the heat treater and will go into the paint shop on Monday. I'm hoping to be able to ship them by the end of next week if all goes well. |

The Wonder bar is an aftermarket suspension item that I manufacture and sell. Wonder Bars make a huge difference in softening the ride of your Prowler and at the same time help it handle the corners. The Wonder Bar front stabilizer bar has less torsional strength than the stock stabilizer bar. By utilizing a smaller diameter and hollow tube, the Wonder Bar allows your front wheels to operarate more independantly. You will have a noticable difference over rough road surfaces or when one wheel hits a pothole or bump. If you doubt my words,,,just wait to see the responses that will be posted after the first 20 Wonder Bars are installed and driven.

I'm interested in improving the ride however one question comes to mind that I have not seen addressed. With the smaller diameter and the increased "flex" what does that do to the frame welds ? |

quote: A Wonder Bar will actually lessen the stress on the frame by allowing your suspension to do the work instead of forcing your frame to flex. ******************************************************* A brace is just that, a brace to help keep your frame from flexing. A Wonder Bar is a direct bolt-in replacement for your front stabilizer bar. Stabilizer bars are also often referred to as anti-roll bars or sway bars and are an integral part of you car's suspension. Now highjacking my threads from 20 years ago. Too bad that you couldn't come up with your own product instead of stealing mine. I started producing my Wonder Bars nearly 20 years ago. Thieves and copy cats don't sit well with me. My products are the first and only. Made in the USA. |
